  4. Roundshape I did just that a couple days ago. I was really confused & I didn't understand the process. But you guys clarified it for me and when I called my carrier they answered my additional questions. Forms are in the mail. Thanks everyone!
  5. Ok, it blotted it out, but because I have bcbsil I had to come back another day for the written exam.
  6. My appointment was very similar to vsglady. It was easy breezy. Because I have HMO, I had to come back another day to take the written test. you should do just fine. @@beachgal2935 welcome!

  12. @@Vsglady, I bought some sugar free syrups, I will add a little of that to the vanilla protein. Thanks for the encouragement
  13. Codysmom. I have not had surgery yet but I read on another thread where someone used unflavored protein from unjury w/50 calorie orange juice. Can you see if your doctor allows that? Or maybe check w/nutritionist for suggestions

  17. Wishing You Only good news Lainie! I'm hanging in there. I felt light heated today, so I cheated& had a veggie salad but with very little dressing. It is so hard drinking shakes only.
  18. Lexie Happy early birthday! Your post &Mismac's post really helped me today. I'm feeling a little out of sorts on this diet. I got really light headed today so broke down & ate a salad (veggies only) w/very little dressing figure its healthy & I'm still losing weight. Man do I love this website!
  19. thanks for your response. My company does have Std,Flma and sick time. Question for you, why would you not use your sick time(100% of your paycheck, over the short term disability( which covers only a percentage)? Just curious. My understanding is FMLA does not provide you with a paycheck it only protect your days.
  20. Had a moment today, not an attack. I am on day four of the liver shrinking diet ( surgery 10/17). Fortunately, I do get to have a meal at night. 3oz protein & veggies or salad,so that helps. But it dawned on me today that after the surgery I will STILL be on liquids for a bit.It got overwhelming. I had to tell myself to think about today only. Looking at the big picture can send me into a tailspin. Good news...down 5 pounds in four days. That keeps me going.
  21. @@Kimberly_R it actually doesn't sound sick. Pretty normal, I would guess. Life will be different but a good different. Truthfully, maybe not initially but hang in there. In time I trust you will be saying just that" what the heck was I thinking?" Wishing you strength & positive thoughts in becoming the new you.
  22. Lainie I came on to ask you the same thing. Hope all went well
