  1. Hi folks, I'm back!! Got home from Broome at midday today, home just long enough to unpack my holiday suitcase and repack with work clothes, have one cup of coffee and then off back to the airport and back to Argyle. What a great week - weather was perfect, the room was great, the sunsets were fabulous... did all the fun things - got my camel ride, got nekkid on the beach with my man, went fishing, went ocean kayaking, went up to Windjanna Gorge and saw more crocodiles (Chris's first ones in the wild!), took some great pics! Haven't uploaded all the pics yet, but here's a few to give you a taste... The classic sunset pic (not us, couple in front of us): The beach: Frog on the mirror in the bathroom!! Crab holes in the sand:
  2. Good luck, Christasha!! Go girl!
  3. Jennifer, you have nothing to worry about. Yes, you do need to be careful when healing, just as you would with any wound that has cut through muscle and skin and has stitches. You may find that it takes a while before it feels 100% though, especially where the port is stitched to the stomach muscles. That can pull and hurt a long time after the rest has healed. Once is it fully recovered though, there's no way you could hurt it with rough sex - believe me, I know *winks*
  4. So Susan, are you all smoooooooth yet? I'm going in for mine at 11am today. Gotta be all clean and smooth to go nudie sunbathing on the beach at Broome!!
  5. Got home from site yesterday afternoon and had a wonderful evening with my man... I am so in love it makes me want to cry sometimes  And what a day I have lined up for today!! I have a job interview at 9:30am (based in Perth so no more FlyIn/FlyOut to Argyle each week). I go to the salon for waxing (legs, armpits, brazillian) at 11am so I won't be all hairy on the beach at Broome, and my favourite designer is having a 70% off sale starting today, so I HAVE to go or I'll miss out! We're going to try to squeeze that in on the way to the airport at 2pm, then off to Broome at 3! I don't know if you folk have heard of Ruth Tarvydas but she had 3 dresses worn on the red carpet at the Academy Awards this year, and is pretty well known. She started in Perth about 30 years ago and I bought my first ever designer original from her shop - wore it to death for the next 10 years. I want another dress like that!! Man, I'm going to be knackered tonight!
  6. Just posting to say that, having been recently reminded, I do it because IT FEELS GOOOOOOOOD!!!!! @Kristine: I don't blame you for dumping the man for pulling the surprise buttsex trick - I am into anal AND into pain but I can't cope with the sneak attack. It HURTS LIKE HELL done that way! Done right, it is intense pleasure; done wrong, intense pain...
  7. Whoohoo - I fly home from site today and off to Broome tomorrow!!! Beaches, camel rides and sunsets, here I come!!!!
  8. PJTP: I hate boring weekends at work... I'm never going to get to goal if I keep nibbling on the cookies out of sheer boredom *sigh* I don't think even the 5km walk home tonight will make up for the number of cookies I've had today .
  9. GAH!! The skin has disappeared again. I do NOT like this naked look!
  10. Hi and welcome Emjay! Good luck with your journey!
  11. Hey Chris, I just noticed that your ticker says you've gotten over the 100 mark!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! Where's the big celebration thread, so we can all whoop it up with you?
  12. ROFL!! That's one of the things I love about my user name  PS: I'd also like to know about this "no scream cream", coz I squeal plenty!!
  13. What's a sugar waxing??
  14. Give the poor guy a break! He's damned if he does, damned if he doesn't... how would you feel if he WASN'T noticing the losses? It sounds like he's just trying to be encouraging - don't let your own paranoia sour his good intentions.
  15. Good for you for getting this done young - you have the best chance of your skin recovering. Mine hasn't, unfortunately, but then again I wasn't really expecting it to at 46 years old. The statistic about "half your excess weight" is an average, not a goal or a limit. All averages consist of some who've made it all the way, some who haven't made it very far and those in the middle. Where you sit on that range is entirely up to you. You can lose it all if you put the time and effort in.
  16. Go for it and good for you!! Just hold off from swinging from the chandaliers for a bit, and you'll be fine
  17. Yes it hurts, but so worth it!! MUCH easier the second time around (and easier each time) as the hair is thinner and sparser each time. Thanks for the reminder! *goes to book her next appointment*
  18. Oh hooray!! It has just this minute fixed itself, after being like that for HOURS!!
  19. Congrats! Let me tell you, as someone who also paid cash for her band, it was the best money I have EVER spent! Good luck with it all!
  20. It's back!! and it's HORRIBLE!! HELP!
  21. Is anyone else experiencing problems with the "skin" for the forum? It seems to have disappeared and I'm getting the bare bones links and text but none of the layout and graphics. This is happening on two different computers and has been going on for a couple of hours. I hope it isn't a "new look"!!
  22. I have to lose another 10kg (22lb) before I do this, as the doc said it didn't matter what weight I was when I had the op but I should be no more than 5-6kg from goal, as he didn't want me losing that much more after it, as the skin would get loose again. The op itself will take off about 5kg. At this stage, I'm aiming for mid to late December, so I can combine the time off with my forced Xmas break and get good recovery time for the minimum of income impact.
  23. Congrats to all the new members!! I'll be joining you soon!
  24. Thank you, Heather! My honey took that photo and I do love it...
