  1. I'm 5 weeks post op and been in a stall since week 3. How long did yours last???
  2. I take em every day! I even took mine in hospital too.
  3. I'm 1 month post op, on solid foods now, but I feel hungry every 2-3 hours. Is this normal,or am I not eating enough when I do eat? I always eat high protein foods. I can't imagine that eating every two three hours would be good.
  4. I was totally just thinking shrimp!!!! Awesome ideas everyone. Thanks
  5. Tomorrow is a coworkers bday party and everyone brings in snacks/goodies. I want to contribute but also would like to enjoy some. Any ideas what to bring that's protein packed that I can eat as well as my coworkers would enjoy.
  6. Well, unfortunately its on my schedule! :/
  7. Same thing for me as kellsbells. It was a pooling of blood. Was gone like two weeks later for me.
  8. has anyone had it done post op,if yes how much of the contrast did you drink? I'm going for one tomorrow and the radiology center has me drinking 2 big bottles. One tonight and one tomorrow morningI'm wondering if that's too much being that I don't have a normal sized stomach anymore
  9. I have RA as well....,I was taken off of my Enbrel for two weeks before surgery, two weeks after. That's what both my surgeon and rheumatologist agreed on.
  10. Its just the deep breathing that is tough. I didn't do it as much as I should have when they sent me home from the hospital with the breathing spirometer. And I couldn't get in deep breaths. I was as my surgeons office and told him and he said that I need to do that. So I started doing it and it has gotten way better....but not 100%.
  11. How long after surgery were you using it? I made the STUPID mistake of not doing it for a few days after surgery and couldn't find out why I was in pain every time I breathed until doc told me. But three weeks out tomorrow and I'm still doing it. I feel like when I go to sleep, and wake up that all the progress I made the day before is gone. Anyone else still doing it weeks out?
  12. I had one, but only cause I was told to stay in bed due to complications after surgery. Otherwise, I would have never gotten one.
  13. Unfortunately, I can't eat meats yet. Only fish...and I am NOT a fish lover at all. I will eat tuna, but I'm Tryin to get protein in with tuna and eggs. Unflavored protein in tuna is worth a shot.
  14. How are you getting in all your protein? From shakes or from foods? There's no way to get in all protein from foods since i can't eat that much. I'll drink a premier protein but that's only 30 grams, and that leaves me to get in another 30+. So, I guess I should just continue with 2 shakes a day?? I would much rather to do it with food. Ugh....I'm having a tough time doing this.
  15. I had one nurse too that drove me crazy, but luckily she was only working one night. (I had a three night stay)
  16. Thanks for the tips. My doc said measure 4 oz for food ,does that seem like a lot? and to take about 1/2 hr to eat. I see ppl on here saying only 2 oz at first.
  17. Im two weeks and two day post op and just started soft foods yesterday. Today I'm having an egg white omelette with a little bit of reduced fat cheese and I'm almost done and still no full feeling. I'm convinced the surgery wasn't done. LOL!!! How am I supposed to know when I'm full when I don't feel it?
  18. I made the mistake of not doing the spirometer and boy was that a huge mistake!!! Terrible pain for days.
  19. And by that... I mean...I want more and more.
  20. Wow....I'm the opposite. I cant get enough liquids.
  21. 11 oz? I'm two weeks post op today, and I'm not having a problem at all getting my liquids in at all. And I'm noticing that I'm finishing my premier protein shake pretty quickly. I'm doing it in less than an hr and a half (maybe even closer to an hour). Ill discuss with my doc tomo, just wanna make sure I'm not doing any damage to my new tummy!
  22. Ooohhh I LOVE chipotle too. I think if I was ever on death row, that would be my last meal!!! Lmao!!!!
  23. Omg....I know. Its sooooo gross. If you get the trick, fill me in!
