I wish I had my date. My last class is December 3rd. Then they send to insurance. Which takes about three days to approve. Then they set my date. I'm hoping not the week of Christmas. Would like the week before at the latest.

6 months no preop diet
That's basically the same for me. But I only have to meet with nutritionist once.

6 months no preop diet
Ok. That makes me feel better. I have actually gained since my initial weigh in. Just don't want that to have a negative affect on insurance.

6 months no preop diet
Does anyone have to only do six months of food journaling with no weight loss requirement?

Need advice
They should go from your initial weight. I was told that further weights up until my surgery don't really matter. They should not recalculate your BMI for any real reason besides just to record it.

Does anyone on here use It Works vitamins or protein shakes? If so, do you like them?

Pre req diet
Do what you want. I'm sure you've researched this. And. You can "cheat" with the bypass too. I have a coworker who had bypass like six years ago. And she's gained over half of her weight back. It all depends on how you use your tool. Plus sleeve is less invasive overall.

Why hide it?
Bob- I'm specifically curious about your opinion on my situation. (Or anyone else's). My surgery will be in December so I have a wait ahead. I have not had a problem telling people now that I am having the surgery. All of my coworkers know, my family knows, my close friend knows. But. My husband and I have a couple that we're really really close friends with. We only see them about two or three times a year though. Due to living a few states away. They are gorgeous. Like hot. Thin, muscular, fit, beautiful people. I've always felt uncomfortable around them. They have NEVER made me feel like that, it's all me. But I don't know if I want to tell them. I am afraid of their judgement on this decision. But I feel like it's dishonest if I don't. I don't know what to do.

"When I finally lose the weight I am excited to...."
Shop for clothes ANYWHERE. Wear a bathing suit and feel comfortable. Go to the beach. My kids are about to be 7 and 4 and we haven't ever been to the beach because I've never felt comfortable enough. Squeeze behind chairs and not have my belly touch the chair. Have a thigh gap! Lol. More energy. I could type all day.

No pre-op diet.......
My surgery will be in December and my insurance nor surgeon require a preop diet. They do require a daily food journal. I guess just to get used to being aware of what I put in my mouth.
