7/7 bypass, doing well. Small problem with some drainage from the drain site. Having that looked at tomorrow! Had a small bowl if cream of wheat this morning, yum! Down 22 pounds!

Me too! And believe me I can normally sleep at a drop of a hat. What's up with that?

Anyone else run a fever a week after surgery?What does this mean?

Are you swallowing those huge pills?! Or does it come in liquid? I was on the same, been off since a week before, I am on sliding scale insulin, not usually more then 2 or 4 units. My Dr's office says to be patient all in good time. Fingers crossed!

The main goal of bypass for me was to cure my diabetes. I am 6 days post op and my morning sugars are around 220. Later in the day they go down to150 or so. I am on sliding scale insulin, very minimal. So what can I expect the progression to be in seeing the diabetes going away.

Feel great! But today I noticed my tongue, yuck. I have Thrush, anyone else experience this? What was done about it?

I am also 54 and just had my surgery on 7-7. I got home from the hospital today. Feeling pretty good, better then I expected. Stomach, left side really tender. Liquids settling pretty well. How are the rest of you?

I am also a 7/7 surgery date. I am really excited to get healthy. I have been on pre op diet for 1 week, clear liquids tomorrow. Would love to keep in touch with this group as we travel this road.
