  1. Good points! My mother has been my #supporter so it threw me when she said it - out of love of course! I have to support the fact I am changing & my family is going through this journey too. Will I always have my defensive 'wall of fat' up?
  2. I was sleeved 6/26/14 & down 35lbs. I know I could probably lose more if I did more exercising than just walking. I isn't mean to get defensive when she said what she thought but I did. How am I to handle this in the future? I have followed my plan....
  3. 'Consumed most calories at night'
  4. This has been the hardest week so far. I was sleeved 6-26-14 am down 32 lbs and at a stall. I know stalls are to be expected. I am more afraid that now I am eating solid foods that I am causing the stall & possible weight gain in the future. I eat the right foods but the last 2 days I ate a bigger portion at dinner time. I a one who used to eat the majority of food/calories at right. I am terrified I will get back into that habit. I was so hopeful until ow that I could control my new way of eating but not so confident now. Help!
  5. When you no longer dread sitting in a booth at the restaurant!
  6. Thanks! Your suggestions lined up with what i thought. Sometimes we just have to post some up close & personal topics to get true feedback!!
  7. Oh,and I'm 32 lbs lighter ..sleeved 6-26-14.
  8. Sorry for some reason I can't see how I type on new topics.
  9. I've gotten a rash on each side under my breast recently in belly button due to button in pants sits there ow & under my 3rd belly (lol) ...any suggestions? I was daily & apply a & d ointment it need something to make it go away!!
  10. I was at creamed soups on my 2nd week. But I would be more worried about why you jumped ahead. Remember its only for a short time your on liquids. You CAN do this! Get back on track and follow your plan. You'll do great!
  11. I'm more of a meat & potatoes foodie but was craving something sweet. I did not want sf fudge pop, yogurt or sf pudding. I've followed my plan exactly and can now have basically any food tolerable. I just didn't know how to feel after the half of nutty buddy. I accounted for it on MyFitnessPal though! Still managed to be under 70 carbs so guess I'll be okay. But do not plan to make it a habit! Thanks for encouraging me even on the small stuff!
  12. Just had a half of nutty buddy and feel guilty. Its my first sweet treat that wasn't sugar-free. I'm 44 day post op and 32 lbs down. Just need reassurance I'm OK.
  13. I would like to take occasional dose of IBU for my joint pain but don't want to irritate my sleeve. 44 days post op & still only doing light walking for exercise - would like to do more but hurt to much. Has anyone started taking IBU again & how is it working for you?
  14. No, I haven't heard or read about this but hope it's not true! I've only heard most people will have acid reflux but so far I've not experienced that. Congrats on your success!
  15. I believe one of the biggest and best things to have is a great support group - you can't have one of those alone!
  16. I encourage you to spend the first 3 days to week with someone or have them stay with you. You will be on liquid pain meds, dealing with life after major surgery, and will need help keeping track of your fluid intake. Though I am sure some have done it alone u wouldn't recommend it. I don't know how I would have made it without my mom & bff's checking on me! You'll understand what I mean soon! Best of luck!
  17. I am afraid I am going to focus on weight loss and transform my body but really need to transform my mind! How do I focus on transforming my mind for life long success?
  18. I will do my best and follow the plan. I'll strive to achieve my goal and be happy with any weight loss. I am ready to "eat to live" and stop "living to eat!" Thanks for your support BariatricPals!
  19. I trust & respect my surgeon and know he cares 100%. When he gave me the goal I asked him how to achieve it and e said to keep doing what I am doing follow the plan, take my vitamins, drink my water, and watch the carbs. I intend to do just that. I am having issues with realizing I will be able to lose the weight. I've not lost more than 22lbs on any former weight loss attempts. Wow...can I really do this!?! Thanks for everyone's input they are why I like this site!
  20. Went for my month follow up and my Dr. gave me a goal of 50 more pounds to lose in 2 months. Is this achievable? Its just so hard to imagine! I'm just getting used to being 30lbs down! Any suggestions on how to achieve/handle this new goal?
  21. I liked G2 Gatorade, New Whey protein (42g protein!) and Mio orange tangerine. SF popsicles are good too! I drink Premiere protein in choc. & strawberry (30g protein) Just remember to sip, sip, sip! Im 4wks out & 25lbs down...you will be there soon! Best of luck!!!
  22. 4wks out 25lbs down & was given my first goal of 50lbs in two months. Since I have always only lost 20-22lbs on any diet/exercise program. It is hard to realize I am not going to gain these 25lbs right back. I can now increase my exercise but have joint pain. Has anyone started taking IBU this early out? PMS is another issue..will I be able to handle the food cravings ?
  23. I'm in week 4 and down 25lbs! I tried tuna fish blended up with mayo & onion powder tonight for supper -yum! How did you handle the rotisserie chicken? I love that stuff! So far I've handled all foods well. Had my 1 month f/u today and we discussed exercise. After viewing my incision sites I was cleared for swimming ~yay! Have you had your follow up yet?
  24. I am afraid I am going to end up grazing myself right back to an unhealthy weight. I am starting my 4th week & am down 20. I am just worried because I have started on actual food & not liquid. Any advice?
  25. I was sleeved June 26 & down 20 lbs. I have not lost any for 6 days now. I too thought I had eaten too much but I hadn't it is just the way it goes. I am thankful to have you all to relate & communicate with!
