  1. Glad to see a Dr Nick patient on here! He's doing mine on the 30th
  2. I had a nissen fundoplication in 2001 to repair a hiatal hernia, and now I have another one that is going to be repaired during my sleeve. I'm a bit nervous, because he's going to have to work around and possibly undo the previous repair.
  3. I am so right there with you, in fact, I just posted this in another thread (still trying to figure out what goes where!) "I'm working on laundry, and all of a sudden I got this overwhelming sadness. I should be excited that this will soon be the last time I'm looking at some of the tent-like clothes, but I can't explain it. I should be jumping up and down about this new life I'm embarking on, not mourning my old life full of size 18 clothes, kids embarrassed to be seen with me at the pool, aching joints, and my hermit like tendencies. Don't get me wrong, I'm not having second thoughts about getting sleeved, I'm just wondering of it's normal to have these mixed emotions?" My surgery is the 30th and I'm kinda all over the place. We got this! Hang in there!

  5. Do they have sucralose, aspartame or any of the other artificial sweeteners?
  6. I drink about 80-90 oz of water a day. I'm about to swim away! ????
  7. I have 10 days to lose the remaining 7. I hope I can get it done! I'm on 1200 calories: 2 protein shakes & bars, plus 5oz lean protein & 2 cups veggies at dinner.
  8. What happens if you don't lose enough weight before the surgery? I'm supposed to lose 5%of my weight (11lbs) and on day 4, I'm down 3. I'm sticking to the plan religiously and I'm just nervous I won't be able to have it on my scheduled date.
  9. Hello all. I'm scheduled for June 30 and I'm on day 4 of pre-op diet. Artificial sweeteners are a migraine trigger for me and I can't stand the taste of stevia. So...I'm having a hard time finding protein powders and drinks without anything artificial. I love Orgain (completely organic), but my nutritionist was hesitant because they are 255 calories each. I've tried Unjury ( the unflavored may be my only option), Nectar, Isopure, Muscle Milk, and Celebrate. Any suggestions?
  10. My date is June 30th and I have gastroparesis, too! Are you taking domperidone? I'm wondering if I'll be able to stop after the surgery?
  11. Hi y'all, I just joined. My sleeve date is also the 30th! I'm glad to see there's so many of us around the same time. I'm on day 4 of the Pre-Op diet. Have fun at the beach!
