Just wanted to get another supportive and motivational January thread going here!!! Tell us your dates, where you're from, and what pre op diets U are doing and when!! I'm katie 33 Right outside philly, pa Jan 5th!! Pre op diet is one week liquid Protein shakes and green veggies First 5 days then nothing but 3 shakes a day for last 2 days Starting liquid diet on dec 28th and I'm afraid I'm going to be a BEAR to everyone. I can barely get through a day eating healthy food without feeling hungry. Just feeling nervous. Let's hear from u Jan sleevers!!

I'm nervous myself. Jan 5th is now even closer now that thanksgiving is over. I'm going to do the 30 day-a gallon a day challenge. Drink a gallon a water a day. I'm starting Monday! So I'm in on really getting down to business with this. If anyone wants to keep in touch on fb (I'm on there more than here) PM me. I need as much support as I can get!! Katie

They have 3 fixed prices, it wasn't cheap but worth EVERY PENNY I SPENT!! Call Kelley, she will give u free estimates and consult!! If they can help you I would do it!

I believe it stays in your system for 30 days, nicotine. But it's blood test-there is no beating it. It would most likely be UR surgeons office that will deny it. So maybe u can talk to someone in the office about using the patch? It still is nicotine but if u talk to someone saying you have quit but are still using the Patches here and there...maybe that could help? Lemme know how u make out Fingers crossed for ya!

Hey! I'm having the sleeve at Abington hospital January 5th!! Dr Bonanni is doing mine. Love love him! I'm so excited and wish it was sooner, but hanging in till then!!

Def start it! You don't wanna be delayed if it is approved. Mine took the whole 15 days, but U never know! Keep calling and checking! Fingers crossed that UR approved! Keep us posted!

Mine was the same as yours, no date until approval. My date is jan 5th 2015 and I started all of this jan 7th 2014! It's been a long time to get stuff done and the denials were killer. But I made it thru. I'm confused myself to get a date before surgery is approved. But! Hopefully it all works out! I had to wait until jan for my work. Holidays aren't the greatest time to be out for 4 weeks.

Hey! Was it a "net gain" or just a 3 pound gain? I'm going to send you a link, that Aetna cannot deny you for a gain because they are not doctors!! Let me find the link and I'll post it. Fingers are crossed. I also ha a net gain with Aetna and had Walter lindstrom fight my appeal for me. This is a blog from his website....standby!

I can show u the appeal letter that I sent that still resulted in a denial. I cannot send u the lindstrom appeal unfortunately. I paid very good money for that appeal letter, I hope u understand. If u were denied please call Walter and Kelley Lindstrom. They are incredible to work with. And they had mine overturned in just a few weeks. What appeal are u working on? What insurance do u have and where are u from?? That all makes a difference.
