surgery date 9/05/14 ... start liquid diet today...blood work tomorrow ... meet with the nurse on thrusday ... pre-op 9/03 .... sleeved 9/05

I am too....this is the one shot that I get to start over .... and messing it up is not an option ... if you haven't started reading the big book on the gastric sleeve...my suggest ...you may want to consider checking it out...it has been an incredible source of info ... just a suggestion ...

ive been waiting for what feels like forever for my approval ... if/when approved the process will go very fast ... we are trying to make surgery date of9/05 and something keeps telling me it's not going to happen....anyone ever have that feeling? I have PHCS insurance .... UGH ... waiting is one of the worst things ..l but I haven't been thru the process yet so ask me again later :-)

congrats to all ... still waiting for confirmation of 9/05 surgery date ... waiting isn't easy for me either ... but good things come to those who wait ... I'm also having trouble getting the advocate to call me back ... I think I'll take the advise and check for myself and try to contact the advocate again ... good luck everyone ...

I am too....all ppwrk submitted...waiting on insurance approval and with the grace of God..surgery date is 9/05...saying prayers that all works out well...I know what you mean....I want to know now...no waiting...lol...but we have to take a deep breath and hope for the best

I did too .... I think we just have to retrain our brains to get moving....the fact is if you lose some of the weight your new beginning is over... so I keep telling myself if I want this bad enough I'll make it happen and so far I'm down 5 of the 10 lbs I need to lose...i'm not on my pre-surgery diet yet but it's coming...9/05 is potential sleeve date...good luck to you

I'm waiting on final approval...but short on the cost of having the surgery ... does the surgeons office finance or do I need to go somewhere else?

with the grace of God....my date is 8/22...I've got all my approvals just need my last supervised weight of 8/08 but my advocate seems to think I'll make 8/22...so excited and nervous at the same time ... good luck to you all...anyone want to be sleeve buddies let me know....thanks

I've had the same issue .... I've been called daddy's lil fat girl all my life and I'm just done with the chat that they say are jokes .. it's only a joke when both are having fun...so i'm not telling anyone but my mom and my sister...my kids know (they're adults)and only 2 people at work know....I just don't want to hear the comments...it's my decision and i'm the one that will have to live the life I chose to live....I'm not sure what to tell people when the weight starts dropping but I guess I'll take advice from the posts I read :-) Thanks everyone for their posts....it really helps a lot of people

Thank you for all the responses ... my advocate told me I had to lose at least 10lbs before I go on my all liquid diet and I haven't lost that weight.,...in fear of not being qualified for the surgery but now I'm worried that they wont do the surgery because they don't think i'm committed ....I'm committed ... I'm so ready for this...I've read and read and researched ....I'm just worried

Congratulation ... and good luck to you...I agree, the 3 months will fly by ... I'm looking at a possible 8/22 surgery date...I've been waiting for a long time also
