I go for my last supervised weight on 8/08...then surgery will be scheduled....I've been eating everything I can get my hands on....I know that if I don't stop they wont do the surgery because I'll be showing that I am not committed to the program and I wont be successful...what do I do? how can I stop this?
  3. kimpossible (my name is kim also ) .... that is very scary ... I take lamictal, Zoloft, and Xanax...also 4 mg a day...I will be certain to keep an eye on that ... I've been on medication for years and my bipolar is controlled...I just don't want it to become "uncontrolled" Thanks Everyone for the feed back ....

  5. I'm trying to get a game plan together and try to be as pro-active as possible ... what was or has been the hardest part of your journey?
  6. I had a visit today with my pre-surgery counselor today....she suggested I ask if anyone out there is bi-polar and how they are dealing with the emotional issues after surgery....Can anyone tell me how they dealt with this? thanks
  7. I'm not in the same age group...you young kiddies...lol...I'm 46...5 5 and 250lbs and getting sleeved in late aug...super excited and super scared...willing to be buddies...lol...where r u from?

  9. Im extremely nervous about the whole process....I know I'll be happy with the reward ....and I'm up for the challenge ... but I'm eating out of control and I know its due to the nervousness. I haven't started my pre-op diet and I think with this over eating I am just going to make it worse....anyone out there going thru the same thing or have any advise as to calm my nerves? I'm open to any suggestions...thank you
  10. I just bought this book 3 days ago and I'm loving it .... it DOES explain A LOT!!!! It's truly a must read...I've even suggested to my counselor to pass on to other people who are having the sleeve done or even someone who is just considering the process...Thanks for the Book...It's just what I've been looking for

I haven't had my sleeve done yet .. but I'm reading a book called The Big Book on the gastric sleeve ... so far it's been informative ... it covers a lot ... pre-surgery, recovering from surgery, post op care...dealing w/post operational emotional challenges and phases 1, 2 and 3 of the diet ... maybe something to help until you find a mentor
  12. My surgery is so far scheduled for Aug 29th ... I'm very nervous as well...I've heard people say they've done well but would never do it again...is it that bad? I know there's going to be challenges and I'm up for that ... but I'm looking for a general idea of what I'm going to be up against ... I want to be armored for this adventure... :-)
