I hope it is ok that I am in your journal. It is common to have these feelings but you have to weigh everything. You must be getting the surgery because you are overweight and you have some co morbidities. Life is short and we can die from anything weather it is today or tomorrow. What if you have the surgery and survive .....then you have to go on the roller coaster of the scale going up and down but mostly down if you torture yourself with eating healthier and exercising. Do you want to be healthier and happier? Only you can make that choice. Do a will, pray on it and find peace with yourself. You have a whole family of support on this board, just reach out for it.
  6. Cheryl a little patience. Good job on your lost. You can drink a bottle of Water and weigh 5 pounds more then you did yesterday. LOL Let's start today and we will get there together....slowly. 10 ponds gone WOW I like the comparisons that other people use.....You have lost a 10 pounds bag of potatoes.....!!!!!!
  7. Thank you I feel good about what I have accomplished so far with the help of my friends and support groups. I have a 13 year old and if I could stay home why would I want to......she's 13, she wants to be my mother. Momba - is like a surrogate mother. I guess because I am a nuturer and always giving someone advice they may not even want ......a few people in the MD LBT Support Group gave me that name. Amy huggggs, I'm sorry you had to go through so much but you are now on a road paved with lots of friends. Keep up the great work. Did anyone help Maya with her ticker?
  8. Ok cheryl where is your ticker.....go get your ticker.....share!!!
  9. It's getting closer......I am 13 pounds away from 375. I have 27 days and I need to kick it into high gear. I will go get some more salad this week and slimfast. I need to have a shake for Breakfast since my restriciton is less then perfect right now. I will also fix my famous pot of ground turkey Soup. I will go back to walking 3 miles a day as of today. Oh yeah and drink the heck out of some Water. PLANS IN THE MAKING JULY 8 From the picnic discussion, pedicures at Vee Nails Saturday by HI. I still don't know where I want to go. I want to go someplace comfortable, someplace where we can be a little rowdy, drinks, and preferably music for an early dinner that will probably last 3 or 4 hours.
  10. Mago look at these numbers......78 pounds gone...that is how many 10 pound sacks of potatoes......almost 8. Can you carry 8 bags of potatoes. To reach your goal you have about 8 bags of potatoes to put down. How are you going to put the rest of the bags down........... Tell me where can I go to read about all of your NSV's because you are over 40 inches smaller....? Your bandiversary is coming up in a matter of about 2 months......can we make that a nice 95 pounds gone?
  11. Cheryl it is too early for that.... you will have plenty of time to stress about weight loss later. Right now your body has to adjust to everything. Try counting your calories to be sure you are getting enough in, drink your 8 cups of Water a day or as much as you can and walk. I know you said you don't have time to exercise so walk in place while watching tv or doing the dishes, folding clothes or on the phone. 10 minutes at a time is good, do this as much as you can and your body will respond nicely. Also, don't just watch the scale, watch your clothes. Find something you can't get into or just wayyyyy to tight. Oh I love it when I put something on that didn't fit a few weeks before. Patience is key......you are on your way to goal.:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

  17. YEAHHHHHH Poodles and tann!!! waterlily you have a running start....35 pounds is nothing to sneeze at. ahhhh ahhhh nope nothing to sneeze at. Cloe yeah he sucks and unfortuantely that kind of stuff sticks with us. I have my own memories of ignorant people but it is not worth bringing that mess up. Keep your head up and move forward. Someone else probably already did run over the bugger......:heh:
  18. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/showthread.php?t=4642&page=50 Hey you guys Stocky is in pictures.....she didn't even tell us. I'm so proud of her.
  19. Oh My Goodness.....dare I say Sunday was PERFECT....the weather, the sky, the Water, the breeze....were just PERFECT.:clap2: We had an Awesome time at the park. Picnic is on the menu once a month. LOL We had a little bit of food but too much food. LOL Who would have thought 7 layer dip, chips, veggie platter, deviled eggs, grapes, Jello and watermelon would have been too much food for 6 people.LOL:D We had such a great time laying around, munching, talking, taking measurements (which everyone had lost inches YEAAHHHHH) and recruiting a new member walking down the sidewalk (karen) he he he he. Everyone did at least 2 situps or leg lifts, not much else exercise but hopefully Dawner will bring her yoga expertise so we can stay on the ground. :heh: Leona and Karen met a new man who was with his wife, came and got down on the blaket just to say no thank you I dont' want any watermelon.:laugh I wish I had that 7 layer dip now....I'm hungry.:hungry: You guys thanks for an awesome, meeting......4 hours still wasn't enough. I hope for those who did not make it this time, please come to the picnic next month. Haines Point may be a distance from you but it is so worth it. Just being by the water is so relaxing and being on the ground is always comfortable. OK I'm ready to go back tomorrow..... :bounce:Thanks guys!!!
  20. Awwwww Lisa:hug: I'm sorry, try writing him a letter detailing this same information about 3 months later you should not have to pay more money for something that did not work right in the first place. State in your letter that you don't have the finances for more surgery. Keep the tone of the letter peaceful and maybe he will do it for nothing. If you put it in writing he may think you will try to sue him later. There is nothing wrong with a little fear for motivation. You are doing a great job so keep posting your food, count your calories, get in enough calories and EXERCISE. If you do these things you know you will lose weight and in time your band will be fixed. You don't have to wait for the band repair in order to lose weigh.
  21. Ohhhhh wind= gas yeah gas x xtra strength chewables will help and walking around will help get it out. Are you in pain, if not, you may not neet the pain killers anymore. They are probably making you feel groggy. The only pain killer I took was liquid tylenol and that was only when needed, about 3 times and it would put me right to sleep. You body still has anesthesia in it, it takes forever for it to get out, and that will make you feel groggy also. Keep sipping your water and good luck.
  22. Congratulations Seppi!!!! 70 punds is nothing to sneeze at, just think if you didn't have the band, all of that would probably be sitting on your and more. I see you got unfilled, can I ask why? What do you eat now a days and do you exercise? WOW you are more then halfway to go......YOU GO SEPPI:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
  23. Whoooohooooo Yeahhhh Party Like You're 12:Banane27:
