Riddle Me This?
Yep, just go with it and enjoy the additional weight loss. Stress has helped me to maintain my loss for 3 years now. At least it has some benefits!
-
Riddle Me This?
Absolutely. Stress makes me feel like I just had a fill. So just go back to the basics with liquids and soft foods so you are not over doing it.

Lap band fluid removed
Have you weighed yourself? Don't guess...that's how it sneaks up on you! I too was banded in Feb. 2011 and had one un-fill. I'm still tight, but I can't imagine NOT being tight.

Help please-to fill or unfill: that is the question
@@catfish87 I was going to say the same. I don't think your body can absorb that much at one time. Check with your dr. and see if that is recommended.

Help please-to fill or unfill: that is the question
The tightness comes and goes with me too, and I love it. I haven't had a fill in over 2 years and I'm happy to still have restriction. Watch those carbs!

Help please-to fill or unfill: that is the question
I too cannot eat breakfast, so although it's not ideal, breakfast does not work for me. My doctor says this is normal. I would try to stick to more Protein and back away from the vegetables and definitely the carbs. You should be getting about 60g of protein a day. Where are you with that? Do you track it somehow? I use the My FItness Pal app on my iphone and that helped me a lot. Perfect to see what your day consists of and to see where you need to improve. Happy to help and congrats to you both.

First fill post op
Your weight loss is not slow. It took me 1 year to lose 60 lbs. Then lost another 50 the following year. You're on your way!

My journey
Glad you have the appointment. I'm in the chat room if you want to chat. i'm afraid Alex will take it away again if we don't use it.

Stomach flu..
From what I understand, if your band slipped, it is pretty painful. if you are not in any pain and still have restriction, you should be ok.
-
My journey
If you don't feel the restriction, go back and get another fill. If your Doctor allows, keep going back every few weeks or so until you start to feel it. This restriction should be immediate. My doctor would make me drink 8 oz of Water before I leave his office to make sure I was not too tight. I felt it immediately, but was sure it went down within 30 mins. I love that feeling~ -dt

No fill and still very uncomfortable.
Hi @@Lorelei, why did you have your liquid taken out? The restriction varies depending on many factors such as weather, time of the month, stress, sometime even elevation (like flying). I'm 4.5 years out and haven't had a fill in over 2 years and still have good restriction that changes to really tight at times. I have other banded friends that experience the same thing, so this can change for many reasons. Are you keeping up your Protein levels daily?

First fill post op
Listen to your doctor. A few weeks will not make that much of a difference. He is just concerned about your comfort level. Just remember that food is not your focus on the cruise...enjoy the location and the time away. -dt

Help please-to fill or unfill: that is the question
Hi @@Drband14, I don't know if I can be much help, but I can try. What are you eating for your meals? Are you able to get on the chat room here? That might be easier to communicate. If not, we can reply within your message. -dt

Lap Band Chat
If anyone wants to chat, I'll be hanging out in the chatroom room most days. The chat room is listed under the PATIENTS tab up above. Banded over 4 years and lovin' it! -dt
