  1. When I was in High School in a small rural town 20 years ago, there was a mining company where the majority of the population there worked, and the company encouraged one of the overweight employees get a gastric bypass because they didn't feel like he was able to do his job well at his size, I do not know all of the details however I do know that there were complications and the man ended up passing away and the whole town was abuzz about it. I pretty much knew from then on I would never consider WLS and have heard basically nothing but horror stories since then. However, one of my dr's told me a few months ago that I really needed to research and consider it and have been suprised to learn about the newer techniques and how long term sucessful it is for people.
  2. I had the most long term sucess with Yaz, however due to the controversy surrounding it my dr suggested that I change, but I opted to keep using it and then after 4 years on it I started having some really bad TOM symptoms I hadn't had to deal with in years, so she switched me to Marlissa (http://www.drugs.com/pro/marlissa.html). I've been on it for about a year and a half now and I have had a lot of good sucess with it personally. It took about 2 months for me to regulate out hormonal wise when I switched to it, I was a mess at first, but after that initial rocky road of switching pills it's been good. I was told by a GYN once that for some people it takes 2-3 months for your body to fully adjust to a new pill, so maybe if it is at all tolerable give the next one a little longer shot and see if you make it over the hump. =)
  3. One of my friends had her first baby at 40 and her second at 42, (as long as you can get pregnant) I think it is never too late, a lot of people were really opinionated about her having them at her age. You run a higher risk of complications, however my friend had 2 perfectly healthy babies and normal pregnancies and deliveries, so I wouldn't let anyone's opinions about having a baby "later in life" deter you. I'm almost 36 and still not had any myself.
  4. I am in Gville, just in the starting stages.
