  1. I thought I put that in there too. ( I have 5 kids running around right now!!!) I do have mild sleep apnea. The doctor said it was very mil, but he did put me on the machine.
  2. Hi post ops!!! I have not had the surgery yet. I had a question about food choices. I've noticed that a lot of you could only eat certain things. I am A super picky eater.... And scared that if I have the surgery that sticking to the diet will be hard. Anyone have this problem? And if so what did u do to overcome it?
  3. I have high cholesterol and depression. I go to the doc a couple times a year for check ups so as of the last visit that's all I have.... Which is enough for me. My cholesterol was only a little high though. That's why I was asking if BMI would be enough....
  4. Interesting.... Are they more likely to try and deny me though if I don't have those issues?
  5. Hi! I'm going to my doctor tomorrow to have My first talk about having the sleeve done. When I was reading about what they will cover there was a lot of criteria to meet. BUT one thing that I noticed was the word or in there. Example it said: You must have a BMI of 40 or higher OR Have high blood pressure High cholesterol Etc . Does that mean if I have a BMI of 55 that I don't have to have any other issues such as diabetics or blood pressure issues? Just something I was pondering.
  6. Soooo I called my insurance company and they said the procedure is covered. I said great! Can u tell me a surgeon that takes my insurance? The girl from the insurance company says " I have a list from 2010 you can call and ask doctors if they accept us". ....... I thought insurance companies kept this information handy?!?! The list of requirements she gave me as also from 2010, but she said the sleeve is covered....
  7. Hi yaw!!! Anyone from Tennessee?!
  8. My husband thinks I'm super woman lol. I think because he sees me doing so many other things constantly; he feels that there isn't anything I can't do. That's what he has said before anyway. I constantly juggle a chaotic life and he likes.... Chubby girls lol so to him I'm amazing!!
  9. I thought about documenting a lot of my " firsts" and doing a scrap book type thing. So I can look back and remember what all I go through to get to where I wanna be
  10. I'm glad I found people that understand!! My husband is in the military and is pretty fit. We took our children to an amusement park and we argued the whole time be use he was riding all the rides with them and I was just walking and watching.... He didn't understand that I couldn't ride the rides and I was too ashamed to tell him that was why I couldn't. If I get this surgery I will go to as many amusement parks as I can and ride every ride I can fit on!!
  11. I have let myself get ridiculously out of hand.... I'm going to see my pcp this Friday to get the ball Rollin. My insurance requires a prior authorization. Between my BMI of 55 ,my high cholesterol, depression, etc. I'm hoping they will send me on through ????.
  12. Hi everyone! I have just decided this past week to pursue weight loss surgery (possibly the sleeve). I can't take hearing how pretty I would be if I lost weight another time. My final straw was lying to my husband..... He is taking me on a cruise for our anniversary... We were deciding on flying or driving. I lied to him... I told him I was scared of flying so we agreed We would drive to the port.... I can't take any of this anymore. I want a life of less fear and more LIVING. I just pray that I will qualify and not have any issues getting this done. I need help!!!
