I was sleeved on 9/11 in the afternoon. I remember nothing after the pre-op room until the recovery room. On a scale of 1 to 10, I was asked to rank pain, which I gave '3' (low). I slept the afternoon and early evening. I remember my wife and son visiting, but I wasn't very talkative. I watched high school football on ESPN and started dry heaves at 1AM. Dehydration was my biggest issue in the hospital and to some extent since then.
I have not had any nausea episodes since that first night. As soon as I started eating protein, Mr. Poop came. I have started my chewable calcium and multi-vitamins. I resumed work six days after surgery, because late paperwork prevented me from working in the office on day five.
I enjoy the Premier Protein shakes. Muscle Milk appears to have to much carbohydrate. I bought the sample pack from Chike....I guess it is an acquired taste. Right now I am getting my ahead around the mechanics of pureed meat for late next week.
