  2. You look great!! Do you mind revealing your starting weight?
  3. I had a problem drinking my protein shakes so I froze them in ice pop molds & i tolerate much better & so much easier to eat then drink. I've been using Lean Meal from GNC. I'm 6 weeks out.
  4. I'm 6 weeks post op & really sick of protein shakes. I'm not able to eat enough to get in all my protein. I bought protein shakes & bars from GNC called Lean Mean. I aso froze my shakes in ice pop molds & made Fudgsicle's and banana cream pie sickles. So much easier to eat them then to drink the shakes.
  5. Don't be so hard yourself. I didn't lose a single pound during the 6 months nut classes. I was sleeved April 29 & I didn't even do the pre op liquid diet. But I gotta tell you after surgery I didn't have one single craving. I was so worried about giving up Dr pepper. It was my absolute favorite. But nope zero cravings for anything & my taste buds are so different.
  6. It's been 6 weeks since surgery & I've had trouble getting in my water. It takes me about 6 hours to drink 12oz bottle water. I also found it much easier to get my protein in eating protein bars. I'm using a plan called Lean Meal. They make protein shakes. I also froze the shakes in ice pop molds & it's easier to eat a Fudgsicle or Banana cream pie pop made from the shakes. Easier then having to drink them. I'm also eating regular food & I'm full from 2-3 small bites. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
  7. I'm 6 weeks out & It has been difficult to get in all my liquids. I have moved to regular food like I made rids for dinner tonight & only could eat 2 bite & I was full. It's kinda annoying but it's definitely a miserable thing to over eat. Idk how I could over eat it would hurt so bad. If I take one extra sip of water it hurts so bad. I don't regret the surgery & seeing real results. I can finally fit into some jeans I haven't worn I years.
  8. Are you from Louisiana? Wow!!!!that is fast????wat insurance do u have? I have blue cross blue shield of North Carolina
  9. Oh. I forgot to mention that I didn't lose a pound during that time.
  10. At first my ins said u only had to go thru 3 month diet program, then when my Dr submitted me they came back and said I need 6 months. I started the process July 2013 & was sleeved April 29, 2014. My ins is BlueCross BlueShield.
  11. I also have RA and took steroids for 6 years and gain 100 lbs. I'm finally off of them & take orencia injections once a week. It doesn't cause weight gain. I was sleeved April 29. Ask your rheumatologist about starting a biologic like orencia. It has really been a life saver!!
  12. I was addicted to Dr Pepper. It was my morning coffee my afternoon snack. I'd drink 3-4 a day. I was sleeved April 29 & haven't had one craving for it & that was the one thing I was worried about. But my son had a Coke Slurpee the other day & I took a sip it tasted so good. Didn't cause any pain however it's got lots of sugar. Maybe could blend up diet Dr pepper with ice in blender make a diet Slurpee. Just a thought.
  13. I'm from lake Charles. Had my surgery April 29 in Houston dr holder-Haynes. I'm 4 weeks out & just now tolerating soft foods. I had severe nausea starting the 2nd week. It was rough I didn't think It would ever pass.
  14. What is good to use for constipation??
  15. I feel so run down & tired. I'm also still having trouble getting in my protein & liquids. I feel full all day & don't realize I'm hungry until my stomach starts feeling yucky. I need to find a happy medium ready to move into a happier phase.
  16. How do you post a question
  17. They gave me nexium granules that have to be mixed with tbs of water. Since my gag reflex is so bad right now. It's hard to swallow. My dr called me & said for sure it's acid & to try maylox. So hard to get this stuff to stay down especially since it tastes nasty.
  18. I also hope you feel better!! I was so happy to have this surgery & now I'm so unhappy!! I've never felt so sick & weak!! Idk how to get relief. I know it's still early but man it's hard to stay positive.
  19. I think it must be acid reflux Bc yesterday it felt like my stomach was eating itself. I tried to drink some nexium but my gag reflex is so bad it didn't stay down. I called my dr just waiting for return call. This is causing me anxiety.
  20. Had my surgery on April 29 2014. I started off doing so good but as time went on I really started feeling awful. I'm so sick to my stomach & went the entire 2nd week not eating. Then out of no where my mouth started over producing saliva which is making me feel even worse!! Anyone have this problem?
