  12. Congrats one lander !! I was sleeve 7/28 I've lost 31 lbs including 15 preop. I'm back at work but no heavy lifting. I just bought a size 20 pair of shorts on clearance, from a size 26. I'm very excited! I'm walking every night but, haven't started weights yet, still a little sore. What's everyone else doing for exercise?
  13. Right after I was allow puréed I went away for my anniversary. I packed some food, but, figured I would eat a lot fish. I spoke to my NUT. We decided to stay with fish, chicken and eggs. Break everything up really well then take small bites and chew. I was able to eat about 4 teaspoons of food. One night I ordered chicken pad Thai plain I had 2 noodles, 3 small bites of chicken and 3 bites of egg. Done! The next night I had a small plate of salmon I smashed the salmon with my fork and put extra sauce on it. I took 5 small bites and stopped as soon as I felt slight pressure in chest a sign my NUT said means your full. I felt full for about 4 hours too. I did notice I salivated more afterwards... What's that about?
  14. Hello All...very excited to have found this group. I'm a second career RN,BSN. I worked in the ER, Dermatology SX and now I'm a clinical trainer working on my NP @Drexel. I was recently sleeved 7/28. I'm down 23lbs total inlcuding 15 preop. I'm going back to work tomorrow ugh...I'm on light duty (desk, no travel) for 2 weeks. I admitting to advancing my diet to chopped foods and then I chew really well. I only eat 4 tablespoons of food and I feel fantastic, except I'm lactose Intolerant I've tried so many different types of milk, lactaid, almond milk, soy, silk etc with a lactaid pill and I get major GI upset. I don't have any issues eating food. Does this happen to anyone else?

  16. Hello I'm a dermatolgy nurse (not a doctor) once the chaffing occurs you can use an anti-fungal cream or a RX from your PCP Oxistat is great. To prevent the chaffing keep as dry as possible. It could mean changing, or using a gentle spray on deoderant. (test this first before applying) Good luck!

  18. If your nervous before your surgery get a massage the day before! As for protein shakes I love Isopure and nectar. I bought on amazon chocolate, cookies n cream, peanut butter n choc, strawberry, Cappuchino mocha for any mood I have. I love power ADe zero in blue, sugar free ice pops and water with lemon/ lime and a touch of fresh mint I shake it with lots of ice it's refreshing! I walk while I sip it's hard to drink sitting down. I even burp myself like a newborn. I read somewhere our stomachs are like a newborn a few sips then burp! Then we advance to puréed baby food, then we graduate till thicker chopped foods. Eventually well be skinny healthy grown ups!
