  1. It has become apparent that my eyes are liars!!! I have reverse anerexia I look in the mirror and think I look cute and dont need to actually have the surgery. Then I step on the scale and the truth slaps me in the face with reality. It also has come to my attention that only people who dont think I should have the surgery are people who are my size or larger all of my healthy weight friends are supporting me 100%
  2. Ok I dont want to scare anyone. It sounds like you all got to get the one where they put you to sleep. I was not so lucky my doctor did mine in his office while I was wide awake. He put lidocane in both of my nostrils to numb them. Asked me which one I thought was the numbest and proceeded to stick a camera down my nose and throat while a nurse held me up from the back! I will not lie it was HORRIBLE!! No the nose didnt hurt but I could feel it in the back of my throat they kept telling me to swallow!! My eyes and nose were both watering and I was choking!!! The only good thing was I actually got to see the inside of my stomach which was pretty cool and it was over fast!!!
  3. Im on day 6 of pre op I get 3 or 4 Protein Shakes called Chike a day. If Im really hungry I can have chicken or beef broth only. I can also have all of the SF popcycles I want. So far I have been ok. I hope the next 10 days are like this.
  4. Im on the preop diet and have been experiencing the same thing! I told my husband my stomach is fine but I think my legs are hungry! It kept me up last night well between that and having to pee every 2 hours from all the Water Ive been drinking!
  5. Hey let me know how it works. We have the same stats. My surgery is on the 20th!
  6. Whoo hoo you look great! Im 2 weeks pre op and I cant wait till I am where you are!!
  7. Congratulations!!! You look great!!
  8. June 20th in Florida! Soo excited with a wee bit of nervousness starting to set in. I keep telling myself I am doing this for my eventual grandchildren! I want to be able to actually play with them!
  9. I hear the same noise from friends my BMI is 38 I am 210 and only 5 foot 2. I have thought about having WLS for years but kept putting it off due to all of their coments. The truth is I havent and cant lose the weight on my own. My health is starting to become seriously affected by my weight and Im sick of sitting on the sidelines of my own life!! I know I will never be a super model thin but I want to be able to move in this world! My advice is to go for it. This is YOUR life!! Tune the nay sayers out and only tell people that you know will be supportive!
  10. I also have a sister who failed she lost 100lbs and then went right back to her old eating habit and has regained most of it.. I am going to use her as an example of what NOT to do. I have already started looking for new ways to deal with stress. I pray that by making this huge of a decision to actually change my anatomy will be motivation alone for me not to fall back into those bad habits and relapse!
  11. I am scheduled for my surgery on June 20th. I started drinking Protein shakes mixed with fruit 3 x a day on may 20th just to get my body use to not having solid foods. Plus Im hoping to lose some weight before the surgery. I have had a couple of meals since I started doing this. I go in on June 3rd and I think thats when the surgeon will put me on his liquid diet for the next 2 weeks before the actually surgery. Im soo excited I cant wait to have this done!! Im worried about drinking all of the Water I havent even had the surgery yet and Im having a hard time getting 64oz in.
  12. Im scheduled June 20th very excited!!
