Why are my neighbor's kids not wearing helmets...
I hope this rant is sarcasm. Or are you serious? Lack Helmets and homeschooling....Oh my. I'm glad people show concern for children, I've worked with criminals and victims of crime for years. I've seen far worse things done to children than being home schooled and fall off a bike. Any signs or evidence of actual physical abuse, neglect, sexual abuse or trafficking to turn into CPS? I agree with @BigViffer on this. I grew up in the age of no seat belts, riding in the back of trucks, dodgeball, no helmets, knee pads or elbow guards when riding a bike. I'm not a delicate little flower. I'm a survivor! lol

I feel so doomed
I'm not sure about you but shake never make me feel full or satisfied. Your restriction sounds like its doing it's job. Some things to try for hunger: Eat all the veggies you want. The bulk and fiber will give you the sensation of full also keeps your calories low to keep you in weight loss mode. Eat five to six meals. ( I eat about every two to three hours) Logging and staying within your calories/macros for the day. Raise your protein goal. keep healthy snack in the house to curb cravings - Example Salty and sweet - Beef/turkey jerky for salty. Dannon light n fit yogurt for sweet. Its work getting back the old discipline that you had in the beginning. It can be done. Wishing you the best, Jenn

Very Interesting Lecture on WLS (VSG) and the Mechanics on Regain
I liked how he explains : A calorie is not a calorie. 300 calories of protein will give you better results than 300 calories of carbohydrates. Calories do three things: immediately burn for fuel store as fat create heat ( calorie deficit - the reason bariatric patients are always cold ) Wondering if anyone on baraitricpal has a copy of the back on track program.

Are we allowed to share how psych evaluation go?
Wow, Interesting So much for professionalism. Did she give you a recommendation for surgery?
-
Just wondering...
Bariatrics is a lifelong change. Water/fluid intake gets easier and becomes habit. The way you eat, drink and exercise becomes normal over time. Hang in there.

Herbalife Products
My dietician informed me that I would not be dependent on shakes/protein supplements for life. I use real food to maintain. No need to use shakes further out from sleeve surgery to hit my protein goals.

Week Two Post-op: Too much sugar?
Call it what you like...I don't need a product that is made of filtered water to be spelled out for me. If you feel better saying "Drink" it's its all good.
-
Week Two Post-op: Too much sugar?
I don't find the term "Protein water" misleading. to each their own... Says protein drink on the front of the bottle. It's made with filtered water and has 40 grams of protein. Ingredients : Filtered Water, Ion-Exchange Whey (milk) Protein Isolate, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Sucralose, Phosphoric Acid, Polysorbate 80, FD&C Blue #1

Struggling with whey....
Thank Goodness protein shakes are not a lifelong thing. Yes most taste crappy. It's trial and error to find what works. I figured taste is tolerable - I'll drink it just to get my protien in. First days out from surgery. I did isopure zero carb protein water 160 calories 40 grams of protein and part of your water goal. If the taste is too strong water it down. I liked the apple mellon.
-
Week Two Post-op: Too much sugar?
Are you getting in your protein goal(60-80 grams) or are the other liquids taking up valuable sleeve space? Protein first. Pure apple juice a lot of sugar and carbs : - protein .3g - 120 calories - 25g sugar - 29 carbs my 2 cents I am not a medical professional- always check with your dietician first, There are other product that will keep you hydrated that are low carb and calorie. Isopure zero carb protein water. 40 grams protein 160 calories and hydration all in one . If the taste is too strong water it down. Best choice if you are struggling to get your protein in Nuun Boost Electrolyte Tablets. 4 calories 1 carb Helps with dehydration. powerade zero - zero calories and less than 1 carbs - Again hydration

Excess Skin has me unmotivated
You said looking bad on the outside and the extra skin has made you unmotivated to lose weight. "I look terrible so I eat" You are sabotaging all your hard work. Counseling is a good option to deal with body image and put you back on track. Sometimes it's not that you need motivation it's that you need perspective: (tough love) At this moment, a child has suffered facial ,torso burns and lost the use of their legs from a car accident. She would gladly trade places with you for your weight loss struggles SKIN TIGHT TV SERIES - shows plastics done for people people starting at a much higher weight than what you have posted. Might put things into perspective of what things can look like for you after plastics. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=skin+tight+full+episode

Anyone worried that eating behaviors wont change after surgery
Welcome to the group. Congrats on your upcoming surgery. Stress, emotional and boredom eating takes work. Glad you found someone to work with on the issues. For me, surgery made things more manageable. I found new ways to cope with stress.

Feeling Less Sexy

Feeling Less Sexy
You are young (I'm envious)and beautiful inside and out! Body image is a strange thing in this process. It may take time for your mind to catch up to your weight loss. Feeling sexy may be on and off until your hormones get used to your birth control. Not sure about you but my marriage sex drive fluxuates. *laughing*
