Anyone compete in bikini after weight loss surgery?

Here is a pic pretty much explaining the difference between the different classes So you can see the bikini class has a much more feminine look, less muscle definition than the other ones

Anyone compete in bikini after weight loss surgery?

I want to do one of those as well! I've been doing a lot of research on it. Follow a diet plan? IIFYM? The skin issue.... It's not that bad but it's there. And at 45 years old it would be so f&@$ing awesome to get that fit and smoking in a bikini!

    Vitamins in a Patch?

I think most vitamins/minerals/supplements have that statement. None of them are regulated by the FDA. What I'm leery of- idk if Vitamins are absorbed thru the skin. Outside of magnesium I don't know if any other ones are

Will I Ever be able to drink wine again?

I use to drink A LOT of red wine! The drier the better! Now it's white wine. Sometimes it is easy to drink, sometimes I can't finish half a glass. Unfortunately I have no issues with vodka.....

    Family is unsupportive :/

Another POV is that maybe her fear came out at that point. Maybe it was the breaking point for her and came out wrong..... Just something think about. I'm lucky in that the BF and I ate out a lot at the restaurant down the road. In fact were personal friends with the owner. And the BF has his own button on the screen at the bar! He actually gets a discount on his drinks.... He has been eating out mostly per usual and when he gets something to bring home he eats in another room. Last night my daughter ate Chinese leftovers in front of me. I was fine. After surgery you won't want to eat physically. Not going to lie, the hardest is the head hunger! The other day I would have killed someone for a tuna melt with onions! I pretty much stayed in my room alone. I was angry and upset. I didn't want to lash out at anyone. So an option is to make yourself scarce when they start eating I was watching a marathon of My 600 Pound Life. One episode the husband was a complete d0uche! He didn't wnnt her to have the surgery or lose weight. He literally picked her up after surgery and went Straight to a fast food drive thru!!!! WTF?!?!?! And he was taunting her!!! 'Want some fries? Doesn't this smell go?' Than he had her hold his burger!!! I would have throat punched him

    Itching like crazy!

I know painkillers make me itch. I thought I was going crazy but if you google it, it does come up. The lower part of my face and chest will itch like crazy.

    JULY 2014 SLEEVERS GROUP

July 9 was my surgery. Feeling much better as the days go on. The day of surgery I was a mess. I did have pain and slept a lot. The walking took a back seat unless you want to count all the times I went to the bathroom! I'm on Clear liquids until my 1st postop on Monday. I wasn't required a pre op diet except the day prior- clear liquids only. So next Monday I move up to Protein shakes for 2 weeks. So far I've lost 10 lbs

    Looking for July Sleevers!

Well I made it to the sleeved side! My surgery was yesterday. I was in a drugged daze the first part of the day but they like to wean you off and on to intravenous Tylenol. That worked ok. Of course I got home and popped a pill! I'm sore but feel way better today. I just keep thinking I only have to go thru this once!

    Support Groups Before Surgery?

Had to go to two. Thought it would be a waste of my time but it was the complete opposite. There's pre and various levels of post. I learn a lot. It's a safe place to share without judgment. Every thing is shared the good the bad. We discussed how are we going to get thru the holiday weekend. We go around the room and share a goal or Celebrate when a goal is achieved! We watched the video of the two people that lost enough weight to skydive! I have surgery tomorrow and am wondering if I can make it to the meeting Thursday evening! Lol

    Looking for July Sleevers!

Kmf- I read the what to bring post and really stripped the list down after going thru it. I have surgery tomorrow and am brining: ipad & phone with chargers, chapstick, earplugs (in case it's noisy) eye mask (help me sleep) I'm wearimg a big comfortable dress in and out, small pillow and a tiny fan (in case it's hot in the room) toothbrush & paste and slip on sandals All this will fit in a backpack. No makeup no extra clothes. I'm there to have surgery, drink water and get the heck out of there.
  15. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2673705/Sharon-Osbourne-reveals-shame-gastric-band-surgery-opens-weight-loss-struggles.html Ok so let me get this straight..... You felt like a 'cheat' for losing weight with the lapband? Thanks! You just made our struggle much worse! As if we don't have a hard enough time fending off the uneducated opinions as it. Just throw some fuel on the fire. Maybe you were throwing up so much because you weren't eating properly. You stated over and over how you cheat so often. Did you follow the eating plan? I bet it's much easier following Atkins- especially when you get paid to do it. Anyways just wanted to thank you for spouting off and making it harder for people that NEED the surgery to deal with the opinions of others.....

    July 9th Sleevers!

You will most likely be asleep before you are in the surgery room. Each time I've had surgery they gave me something to 'relax' me. The next thing I know I'm waking up! I wouldn't worry about it. They see nakkid people day in and day out! Just like a male gyno..... know how many vaginas he's seem?!??!?#? LOL

    July 9th Sleevers!

Well time is passing and we're almost there. To be honest I'm getting nervous but that wont stop me from accomplishing my goal! I'm already planning the breast lift I will most likely need. I already found the boobs I want! Now I just have to get to my goal weight loss and see where I'm at!

  24. So there are TWO definitions of the word PRIVACY. If you see it’s been around since 1400-1450. That’s at least 614 years. So privacy is NOT a new idea, but seems to have been lost in this day of complete blatant publicity with FB posts about every minute details of one’s life posted for the world to see and the supposed ‘reality’ shows to entertain us. pri·va·cy/ˈpraɪvəsi; British also ˈprɪvəsi/ noun, plural pri·va·cies. 1. the state of being private; retirement or seclusion. 2. the state of being free from intrusion or disturbance in one's private life or affairs: the right to privacy; 3. secrecy. 4. Archaic. a private place. Origin: 1400–50; late Middle English privace. See private, -acy privacy (ˈpraɪvəsɪ, ˈprɪvəsɪ) — n 1. the condition of being private or withdrawn; seclusion 2. the condition of being secret; secrecy 3. philosophy the condition of being necessarily restricted to a single person It is not LYING to exclude information from your PRIVATE life. Because someone asks a question does NOT mean you have to articulate every detail of your life. You are ALLOWED to keep information about your life, finances, family, thoughts, YOUR HEALTH and DIET to yourself. I simply don't understand why people feel bad about keeping things to themselves. It’s an innate right to do so. We have the freedom of speech which means people can ask you anything they want. But with the freedom of speech also means you have the freedom to say nothing!! I’ve also seen people suggesting that if you discuss the surgery afterwards you will appear to be dishonest with people. This is a HUGE life change for us that we are undertaking. You are ALLOWED the space and time to adjust to it without anyone’s advice, horror stories or often uneducated opinions about the surgery. If later once you feel comfortable and want to discuss it, do so. If someone thinks badly about you for taking the time, so be it. They probably don't deserve to be in your life if they cannot show some understanding and compassion. OTOH, if you are screaming from the rooftops about the surgery…. AWESOME!! I am not suggesting either way is right or wrong. The only thing I am suggestion is that you do what is good for you and not allow guilt to force you to discuss something you aren’t ready to talk about.
  25. Seriously?!??? Yes seriously. Im due the day after. WTF?!?! Latel my uterus has been going thru a midlife crisis woth cramps and what not. She mist think she's 15 again.... sigh And suggestions? At least I'll be on painkillers!
