So excited ????
Congratulations! My " tentative" date is the 8th of September. Still waiting on approval. How long did it take for you're process from the first visit till being approved?

figures..
@ How does you're pcp help manage it?, Just by following up with dietary guidelines? I hope I get approved for surgery, and that it will help with this issue. It gives me one more reason to have it done and not chicken out that's for sure, I'd like to try to have a baby again sometime in the future and the thought of having to resort to fertility treatments for such a thing is overwhelming. I don't even know where to start.

Good News: Well I'm done with all my Pre-op foot work. All paperwork and reports will be sent into my insurance sometime next week, then the waiting game begins. Bad News: (For The Woman!!) I stopped having "Aunt Flow" this past April and went into the drs after being a week late which has never in my life happened before!, Dr told me to just wait it out...So here we are June and nothing, had bloodwork done this past Thursday and come to find out I have PCOS. Soo now I have to go set myself up an appointment with a endocrinologist (the one my Dr suggested is booked till November! ) and hope for the best I guess. Just another journey I suppose or just an add on to the on going one..

STRICTLY VENTING
@1cutechubbychiq Luckily my insurance didn't require a supervised diet.

STRICTLY VENTING
@@1cutechubbychiq You're weight, My Ob takes my weight everytime I come in. That and for me my blood pressure has been high during 2 pregnancies (one in which I lost) which could be directly connected to my weight.

STRICTLY VENTING
If you have an Obgyn definitely see if you can obtain a letter from them. I was lucky enough to get a letter from both my pcp and ob.

Endoscopy.
@MistyAnnMoon829 It was a really simple procedure, I was fitted with an IV and gowned next thing I know I was walked through to the surgery room. They set you up, Make you put this mouth piece in, take deep breaths and you're OUT!...Honestly, Best Nap ever.. I think I was under for a whole 30-40min that was it! My husband came in with our daughter around 12:30 and tried convincing me I had been in a coma for 6 years LOL. He thinks he's funny/clever...

Endoscopy.
@@KSTUZ No they didn't give me anything for it. I'm assuming it was my own doing really, I ate hot wings the night before lol.

Endoscopy.
@@KSTUZ Thanks for checking in! Yeah I got the results back yesterday, whatevet "inflammation" they took the biopsy from was benign, and no sign of infection or bacteria so I'm happy about that.. The pain I was feeling most likely was the biopsy area the surgeon said, and it went away 2 days later.

Setting my goal weight
My nutritionist and I talked about this, I set my Goal Weight at 160lbs because I remember that being a comfortable place weight for me and I was happy there. I am 5'3 247lbs and have no other issues other then being over weight, so she thought it was a great goal to start with and if I get there and want to lose more then I can do so.

What Are Some Things You Can't Wait for POST OP?
Thing's I'm looking Forward To Post-Op.. 1. Wearing smaller clothes...My small goal for right now is to wear size 14 which I haven't seen since I was 11years old. I don't know what it's like to not wear sweater's and jeans in the summer. 2. Summer activities...I skipped out on the Fire Fly music festival out here for the past 2 year's because I can't imagine being over 200lbs and being comfortable for 3day's out in the heat. All I can think of is all the sweat, smells and chaffing. 3. Amusement Park!... Regardless I've never been too big to not fit on the rides, but I've been damn near close which was embarrassing as hell. 4. Belly Button Piercing...Ok this one is rather silly, But I was the fat kid in school (I know, Shocker..) and back then the cool thing to do was get you're belly button pierced, Not that I'm cool or anything but to have a belly button piercing and to be comfortable enough to show my belly will be a big deal for me. 5. Not being as Hot...I'm always so bloody hot, I sweat like a pig it's ridiculous.

Food comercials!
The only accurate food commercial I've ever seen was the one for Sub Way where people are taking bites of hamburgers ans breaking through hammocks, chairs, water floats and snapping diving boards in half LOL.

Tomorrow is my day. Getting very nervous!

out of control.
Thanks for the support and a good kick in the ass everyone lol. Thankfully my husband is on board with doing Atkins for the remainder of my time before surgery, We successfully did Atkins together for 8 months before we fell off the wagon.

out of control.
Got out of the shower today and noticed a new grouping of stretch marks on my skin, mainly the little roll that's been forming under my breast for the past few years..This makes me feel a little upset as I know it's from me eating poorly and not taking care of myself the past months or so, and since last month I've been eating out of control from the overwhelming fear that I'll never be able to eat these foods again (I know I will just not quite as much or for quite a while). I have yet to get approved for surgery yet so I really need to slow my roll, otherwise I'll end up gaining 30lbs before this process is done and over with and I really don't want to do that. It's time to buckle down and take control of myself and my eating until September (when I'm supposed to have my surgery) it's not that far away, I just need to suck it up and do it.

Obese Kids
My mother was never over weight growing up, She was very focused on her looks and weren't able to leave the house until she was done with her hair and make-up (God forbid if one of us kids had a hair out of place!)...That being said, I have my own daughter now and I don't enforce looking perfect on a daily basis in my home. She is 4 (Will be 5 in November) and an average weight and height.

Really!?!?
@Mommabird Every pack of M&M's you'll ever see will have "Hackettstown NJ" on the back! They have been made here since 1958.
-
Really!?!?
@marfar7 I live about a mile from where they make M&M's, Sometimes in the morning the whole town smells like chocolate!

Really!?!?
My surgeons office is on Fast Food ally, McDonald, Wendys, Pizza places, Ihop, Diners and his office is in between the pizza restaurant and KFC LOL!!

Endoscopy.
@@KSTUZ Yeah the procedure itself is easy, I'm still experiencing some seriously annoying gas pains but I figure I better get use to it if I have any chance of serving surgery.. I take a lot if Tylenol and other over the counter migraine medicine, Not nearly as much as I use to but I've suffered with headaches since I was a child without and reason to why.

Endoscopy.
Got out of endoscopy a little earlier today, It was fine just a little gas pain here and there now. They found inflammation in my stomach and did a biopsy I have to wait till next week to get the results.

My poor hair. Buy a wig.
My hair is actually longer now since my profile picture which was taken maybe 3months ago, I started taking Biotin afterwards and now it's past my shoulders at mid-back or so. My hair also falls out a lot now (I shed), ever since I was pregnant with my daughter 5years ago that's when it started and I thought it was due to pregnancy but it never stopped lol.
