@@Miss Mac This specific surgeon is well known in my part of NJ as the #1 Bariatric Surgeon and he was the only one my Health Insurance had on record as a "Center Of Excellence" in the area. http://www.bariatricsurgeonnj.com/ I don't even know where to go from here..

I don't know guy's...I need Help.
Just as I'm becoming comfortable with my decision to get the sleeve I find negative comments on my Surgeon, One including DEATH and the family won the lawsuit! I looked for reviews before and couldn't find anything, So i worded my question different tonight in Google and I came up with a pretty significant list of negative reviews that make me really nervous.I mean should I be concerned about reviews from online?, Don't most Drs and Surgeons have negative reviews and malpractice claims? I don't know what to do guy's. I thought I had this all figured out and now I'm not too sure... http://www.vitals.com/doctors/Dr_Alexander_Abkin/reviews

What made you choose?
My decision was brought on by a few things... One I lost my father in November after a year long struggle with lung cancer, He never took care of himself and through the eye's of a child (myself) I watched him over the year's struggle with Sex, Alcohol and Depression. So after I lost him there was this feeling of mortality and the need to do something about my weight, turn thing's around and give myself a better quality of life for as long as I have left. The other going force in my journey is my family, I have a 4 year old daughter that desperately wants a sibling and despite our constant effort over the past 2 years no such luck..Found out I have PCOS. Other then all that I'll be turning 25yo Halloween, I've been obese most of my short life and I think it's time for me to start enjoying the body I've been given and quality of life.. One thing I look forward to post-op is not sweating like a pig all the time, doesn't matter if it's winter, spring, summer or fall I'm constantly hot or have the feeling of overheating.

New and Worried
I had the same issues and worries.. I had a new primary that I'd seen a handful of times over the past 2 years and my old primary who saw me all my life up until 16 when I moved so I had not seen her in 7-8 years. I went into the new primary who I really like she's super chill and easy to talk to so I explained the situation (she has none of my past records) and she wrote me a letter no problem. I also got a letter from my OB because most of my issues with weight have been related to infertility.. Had everything sent in early last month and was approved, Surgery September 8th.

Tummy Issues?
Thankfully I've never had issues with heartburn or gerd (Hopefully it continues after surgery). Idk what's up with my stomach for the past year it comes and goes every few weeks. I'll feel fine and then I'll have a week where I can barely leave the bathroom... I'm hoping that maybe surgery makes it better, I think it has more to do with my diet and the amount I eat more then anything.

Tummy Issues?
So for the past year or so I've been experiencing tummy troubles such as on again off again diherea and nausea. The past few weeks have been increasingly horrible, today I feel like I have acid in my stomach and it's uncomfortable and making me nauseous. I had my endoscopy last month and he said everything looks good, No issues. My surgery is set for September 8th and I'm a little worried that my stomach will be even worse afterwards. But I also wonder if the surgery will make it better in some ways because maybe it's just the food I eat making me feel this way. Did anyone else have tummy issues before surgery? Was it better or worse afterwards?

Clothes I have outgrown
I'm pe-op still. Went through my closet and got rid of the pieces I had no desire to ever fit back into and donated them. I guess I'm a bit of a clothes horder because I have a ton of clothes left over from the past 7 years to try and fit back into, Which is great becauae I won't have to buy anything for a while.

Protein Shot and Pre-mixed shakes.
Right now CWI Medical has Isopure on sale. 12 for $39.95. unfortunately it's not a Variety pack... http://www.cwimedical.com/isopure-clear-liquid/isopure-zero-carb-iso-zc

Protein Shot and Pre-mixed shakes.
@sbeltermann I would get some unflavored protein and test that theory first before committing to it.. I tried the unflavored Unjury and not only does it not mix very well (Clumps up a lot) but it gave my drinks a weird taste even though it's "Unflavored". I guess it wouldn't be so bad in thing's like pudding or homemade protein pops.

Protein Shot and Pre-mixed shakes.
@happymama2014 I tried a few of the Unjury products and liked the taste better then the Muscle Milk, but I like the MM because it's convenient and can be found almost anywhere. I'll probably end up ordering more Unjury sometime soon though. As far as the shots, I was told by my NUT that they were fine in the early stages when your trying to get as much protein in as possible other then that I don't really know too much more about them and will ask for more information in my pre-op class on the 12th. "Syntrax Nectar" has a fruit punch powder that I've heard is pretty good, I might pick that up offline as well.

Protein Shot and Pre-mixed shakes.
Today I was in Walmart and ran across the "New Whey" protein shots with 42grams of protein in them (My NUT had recommended them) at $2.40 a piece it didn't seem like a bad option so I picked up Acai Berry and Watermelon, Both flavors were a little over powering but not nearly as bad as I thought they were going to be. I took the watermelon one and put it in the freezer for a while and took the shot and cut it with water then blended some ice making like a slushie with it. Not Bad!.. I also picked up some Muscle Milk which is 20grams protein per container, These are a great option considering you can find them everywhere now even convenience stores!. I chose the chocolate one which wasn't bad but a little sweeter then I was expecting, I could see cutting this with Almond milk or Skim milk to dilute the sweetness. Over all I thought both were great options for after surgery if I can stomach them.

Sounds like dumping syndrome. You can still get dumping with the sleeve.
