Dr. I had a breast reduction, everything went very good, no pain to speak of. I am now starting to have very bad lower back pains. I am 61, and have had the very big breast for 30 years. Is my back try to use different muscles, it has been two week sense I had everthing done. And my back is giving me fits. Thanks for your help.

Dr. Schulman: I had a breast reduction and my arms done last Friday 10/3/08 I am so happy, and have had zero pain. Just the garment is very tight, but that will get better soon. Thanks for all you help. One week after surgery I gained 4 pounds, Is this just the way it goes? Or am I retaining fluids? Or is it just me. I haven't eaten that much? Just thought I would ask, you seem to know all of our questions. Thanks Againg for all your encouragement.

Dr. Schulman: What a great service you are doing, thanks so much. I am planning a Breast Reduction, I am really worried about the incision under my breast. Reading different sites they are complaining about their bra rubbing on the incisions? Are they just talking about right after surgury? Or is this an on going problem? Is there new ways of doing it so this problem goes away? New techniqes are are found all the time. Thanks for your help.

agreatknead; Yes, I was banded 9/11/07 by Dr. Gonzalez, and I to thought the whole team was just great. I just went and had a fill a couple weeks ago. His new office on the 16th. floor is very nice. I would had a very good experience there. I am almost ready to have PS done, maybe in Jan. / Feb. 09

Sweety: I see you live in Texas, what about Mexico? I live in So. Calif. I was banded in Mexico, And going to have PS in Jan. Feb. in Mexico. The cost for Tummy, Breast Reduction and my arms. $10,000.00 I have spoke to other that have has PS in Mexico and the are very happy. It really seems that they really care more, maybe it is just me. I will be 150 LBS then, he even said that if I lose more than that, I will need more sugery, you know sagging skin. After I reach 150, me and mt DH believe that would be perfect. Anyway have you checked Mexico? I guess it is not for everyone, but if you give them a chance you would change your mind.

I am 61 now, 5'4". I was banded 9/10/07 started out at 210 LBS. and I am now 178LBS. I am a very slow loser, but I am not gaining. My goal is 150 LBS. Now, I would like to have a TT, legs, and arms done. The big one is that I have 36 LL, my dream is to have C cups. As I mentioned, I am 61 and beginning to wonder about my age? How close to my goal should I be? I wanted to have my Breast done, but then I want to get a couple things done at one time. Just need some good advise. Oh, I am in good health, no problems. What kind of follow up is there? If I travel 2 hours from my Home to have work done, should I expect to go back to the Dr. 4 to 5 times? Thanks you Dr. Schulman for all you have done for everyone.

After your TT, how many visits did you have with your DR. How long of a follow up did you have. Is it once you have stiches removed you are pretty much on your own? You look GREAT

This site is sooo helpful. My scale has a mind of it's own. up, down, up, up down, up, up ,up down. What the heck. 5 months and I am down 25 pounds. That is better that before the Band. I praise God for my Band, I am shotting for another 25 pounds by July 08. I'll show that SCALE Thanks girls for all your encouragement

Yes, Yes, Yes !! I thought I was crazy, everyday is different. I am a slow loser, up and down. Lose 3, gain 2, lose 4, gain 1. Who knows. Like you all say it depends on the day and the hour what I can eat, go figure. But I will reach my goal. My DH is so supportive, he always saying I look great.

I have had 3 fills, funny thing is I can eat just about anything. But soups, and liquids I have a hard time getting down

I to went to Dr. Gonzalez, I was in the same room as OMLAGIRL. I speak Spanish, so that helped. But my DH was along and he speaks very little spanish and he got by. I had a very pleasent experience, and have gone back for a couple of fills. They alway see me without any problem. They say to be there at 11:00am Dr. is there waiting to give me a fill. Very, Very nice people

NM Sunshine: I also go to Dr. Gonzalez, I understand what you are saying. It seem that I form a air bubble, water goes down ok, but slow. Burp burp burp. I went and got something to eat, and got full right away.That was 2 weeks ago. Now I can eat anything again. I am going back on 10/29/07 for another fill. They told me when I can eat anything to come back. So that is what I am going to do, until I get a good restriction for long periods of time. I would like to have a good restriction for a couple months anyway? But I will keep going back until that happens. It is a 1 1/2 hour drive. Full day off work. Don; I would plan a trip to Mexico $7500.00, your age might be against you? I heard 65 was the oldest (Not sure) in the States. It is your health, $7500 is not the end of the world. It was hard for me also, but it was the best $7500 I have spent. I am 60 and I am losing weight, and not gaining it back. Good Luck

Simego: I have nothing negitive to say about Dr. Gonzalez. Everyone was so attentive to my needs. Very good experience. I called his office today, and let him know I would like to go get a fill on Monday 29th. No problem come on in at 1:30 pm. We are looking forward to seeing you and your progress. This will be my 3rd fill. You are making a good choise. After our first fill, he asked if we would like to go somewhere in the States to get a fill, if so he would arrange that for us, but we are willing to drive the 1 1/2 hours to Mexico. It is a nice day for my DH to be together. And it is free. Where are you from?

SAR: Trouble getting fills? You would think this would have been settled in advance, so many fills until you have to pay? I went to Tijuana, I can get fills for as long as the Dr. is in business. I call a couple days in advance, and he will see me. it ONLY takes 5-10 minutes. Hope everything turns out OK, I am sure you can find a Dr. that cares. I guess paying for the band out of pocket, does'nt seem all that bad after all. I was upset that Kaiser Perm. would not cover the band. All in all, I am happy with the whole thing, the staff in Tijuana, Dr. Gonzalez are great. They really seem to care about each person, and their goals. Then again I live close to Mexico, 1 1/2 hour drive.

badonkadonbutt When were you banded? I was banded 9/13/07 and lost 11 pounds. But I am eating good portions, and am pleased if I loss 2 pounds a weeks I think is healthy?/

Thanks for the motivation, I believe we all get down, that is what is so good about this site, we all need to encourage each other. Just knowing we all have had the same feelings about ourselves, and look at the people that has had all the success. I am sure they went through it all, but there is a goal that we started out to meet, and we will get there, it just takes time. Just BELIEVE it

Hi, it just happened to me for the first time, I was banded 9/13/07, and have had two fills. The Doctor told me to stay away from White Bread. I have been able to eat just about anything in small portions. Well I went out to eat last night, had a dinner roll (White) Didn't think anything about it, I had pressure, so went to the rest room. Thought everything was OK. On the way home about 15 minutes later in the car, I thought I just had to burp, well I did, and it all came up. I believe the White bread just formed a ball, and would not let anything go down. So guess what, no more white bread for me, I know that's what was it. Baned in Mexico by Dr. Gonzalez, very nice. Lost 10 pounds so far, so if I lose another 10 pounds next month, It will be all worth it. All you bander hang in there.

I was banded 9/13/07 by Dr. Gonzalez in Tijuana. I had a very go experience. Very clear, very caring people. Private room to stay in overnight. I think they checked on me 20 times to see how I was doing. Fills for life, no charge. Surgery was $7500.00. Check it out Lap Band Surgery, more than 2,500 successful procedures. I like in So. Cal, so it is only a 1 1/2 hour drive to Mexico. In fact the Girl that would pick you up at the border, her Father is a Dentist and we are seeing him also. Very,very nice people, they speak english and the price is less than 1/2. getting Lumineers done. By this time next year, nobody will recognise me. HEHE
