almost 2 month out and stalled
You are doing awesome! Any stall can be frustrating no matter how far out or how much you have lost. You have every right to rant away. Your body is probably in shock from losing so much so fast.. Be patient it will re group and you will begin to lose again. Put away your scale haha I also lost very fast with my first wls surgery and was so depressed when all of a sudden I wasn't losing big every week but eventually it began again.. Hang in there and keep doing what you are doing..

Anyone want to be fat again?
Yikes I should have read all the comments.. Yummy, I too had problems with hair loss (started taking extra biotin dissolvable and bought biotin shampoo and conditioner really has helped) I also had bathroom issues but started taking a capful of miralax every day and bought a squatty potty.. That solved my issues. As for hunger are you doing a protein shake?! I find if I have one for breakfast every day it really sustains me. I stick to just protein and veg for lunch and dinner. I stay away from carbs because they make me feel yucky. Also I drink minimum 60 ounces of water a day. Loss of hair, bowel issues and hunger all can be results of not enough protein and fluids.. Hope you get better ASAP!

Anyone want to be fat again?
Heck no!!!! I knew the skin would bother me though, I wanted to look decent naked.. It isn't just about health, I needed to lose weight yes for my health but also for my personal well being my mental health. I hated being fat. I love the new me. I saved pre wls surgery specifically for plastics. It was worth every penny. I love the way I look now and I could care less that I drive a used car now, my hubby and I will get way more miles out of my new body than ANY car. I invested in myself and it was sooooo worth it. I love being naked now. Something I used to dread.

Well I was super motivated to lose, I made myself get up off the couch for every commercial and excercise during it whether I went up and down the stairs, ran in place, did sit ups or leg lifts or squats I just made myself keep active on top of working out every day. I also did the wii fit which I found to be a lot of fun.. I honestly didnt start to excercise until I stopped losing weight lol I hope that helps! Oh I also didn't do ANY carbs..

I had lapband in 2008 lost 120 in 9 months kept it off for 6 years then has to have a revision to bypass (band eroded) had to gain 50+ pounds to be eligible for the revision to bypass so now I've lost 41 of that 50 since my revision in May.

when do you start losing weight
8 pounds is awesome!!! A loss is a loss. Depending on your bmi it can also be slower.. I'm losing about 1-3 a week I'm a low bmi but honestly as long as your drinking water eating good protein staying away from fatty foods and carbs you will keep losing. Don't sweat it!!!

I am starting process of gastric bypass and scared help
Hi, I can tell you from my experience only that bypass is AWESOME! I was a lapband revision to bypass on May 21,2014 and am doing great. I haven't had dumping but I really stay away from alcohol, carbs and sugars.. They just make me feel yucky. Which is good. I guess that is some type of dumping but I've never had diarrhea from foods or the sweating. I take all my vitamins and I enjoy them lol I take gummies and extra b12 and biotin.. My hair is now thick and so are my nails. Other than the shock of not drinking alcohol it's been amazing. I just find the alcohol gives me headaches even when I sip.. So it's not fun for me anymore lol

Lap band to RNY conversion, need to hear from others
. Eating is so much easier, I can eat pretty much anything although fried food and carbs make me feel a little yucky like heavy so I stay away from them.. I honestly don't have hunger.. Once in a while I'll forget to eat and start feeling shaky and think oh crap I haven't eaten today.. So weird to not have that hunger feeling. I am doing awesome down 41 and I have 20 left to go. I was low bmi because of having had the lapband. I am thrilled with my rny

Revision from Lapband
I didn't have to do anything.. But I was low bmi and self pay. So not sure if those were the reasons.

What are you most proud of since wls? Or what are you striving for? Most memorable moment?
I'm most proud that now I match my husband.. He is a great looking fit body builder.. We have been married very happily 23 years and he loved me completely at 305 pounds and never once said anything but that I was beautiful and sexy. Now I feel like I match those words.

Lap band or sleeve? Why did you get revision to sleeve?
Again, good luck.

Lap band or sleeve? Why did you get revision to sleeve?
This thread needs to just be deleted. It's become aggressive. Really this is the kind of thread where I just start to chose not to come visit bariactric pal . @@2muchfun I pray your band doesn't fail you and one day you are not on the end I am. It's humbling to say the least. I applaud you for your pro band stance but berating (yes in my opinion is what you have done is not helping anyone) I am not trying to attack you at all but help you to see that maybe just taking a breathe and realizing the ones you are confronting are the ones who's bands failed. I am sure you would be devastated if that happened to you. If you were doing so amazing and bam it fails. It would devastate you.. Well maybe you can see from their point of view.. Compassion goes along way. We all want the same thing how we get there really doesn't matter the only reason I ever speak of my bad experience is when people are asking band choice . From June 2008 to October 2014 I was super band promoter! I was a band superstar. It then failed and I had to be revised. Do you see that why I say hey maybe take a look at the stats.. See all your options.. Especially if you are self pay my initial $18,500 for my band I thought was a good deal it obviously is not. The $28,900 I just paid for revision to rny and removal of my band I pray will be worth it. You have no idea what can happen tomorrow or 5 years from now. I'm hoping you are still happy with your band. That would have been my ultimate dream to never had to have another surgery.. So maybe just a little compassion and understanding could go a long way..

drinking after surgery
Update: I do not enjoy alcohol at all anymore. It hits me hard and not in a good way. It's not worth it to me. I enjoyed it a couple times but now it turned a bad corner.. Gives me headaches and makes me feel hot and queasy with just a couple sips .. I'm over it lol I guess I'm the new DD around here lol

Lap band or sleeve? Why did you get revision to sleeve?
