  1. Hey Junies.. So, the past couple of days have been tough.. my hubby just found out that his job is being eliminated. We don't know exactly when but it is coming. His boss said they are trying to get him another position but there is no guarantee. With me going to part time and now this, I am stressing out. I know it will be ok. I have faith. I hope all of you Junies are doing good. I didn't have a chance to read any posts so forgive me if I miss something. Have a great weekend! xoxo
  2. happy birthday china! B: coffee and 1 packet quaker instant oatmeal l: 1/2 of a small wendy's chili d: schwan's stuffed chicken parmesan s: 1/2 cup of schwan's chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream ( this is almost gone )
  3. congrats on getting your date!!!
  4. hey there.. I am definetly not an expert so this is just my 2 cents.. I have lost 122 pounds and I do have some loose skin, yes enough that I will need to have some surgery. When I was at my heaviest I thought how gross is that, loose skin bleck.. I would rather be fat.. but honestly now that I am here, I would much rather have loose skin.. with clothes on I think I look pretty good. Without not so much but honey without clothes before I lost the weight.. BAHHHH.. so I have changed my mind. So if some loose skin is worrying you, I would recommend you look forward to it
  5. Hey Chris... congrats on getting your date! Not long now! Good luck and happy banding!!
  6. wow Eric that sucks that you had such a terrible time after your surgery! I am glad you are doing better and congrats on being banded! Welcome to the club!!!!
  7. congrats on being banded.. I wish you much luck! xoxo
  8. I honestly feel like I am going to fail at this continuously.. you are not alone. I think it's because as a former obese person ( i love saying that) I failed at every diet I ever tried. I would lose then gain gain gain. This is different than a diet and I know you are going to be soooo successful! I am so glad you were able to get out of your funk.
  9. congrats long that is soooo awesome!!!!
  10. Hey Mary, I too was hungry before my first fill, but I was determined to not have gained when I went to my fill appointment. I excercized and really tried to focus. I know it's not easy but you have a tool now, it may not be a great tool as of yet but it's still there. You can do it! Try and eat Protein, then veg. If you need a snack stick to 100 calorie Snacks. Try and stay away from carbs. I know it seems overwhelming but let me tell you that nothing feels better than losing and not gaining. I bought a wii fit at the beginning and did 30 minutes of fun excercize every day. When you are sitting on the couch watching tv do leg lifts, make a goal that during commercials you will walk around, try going up the stairs.. stuff like that. Keep your body moving.. now is the time where the bulk of your weight will come off , make sure you drink at least 64 ounces of Water a day.. I am a crystal light fanatic. I promise you if you try these things and yes I know it seems hard but you can do it! You went through all you did to get banded and paid for it as well, you can do this. Do not allow yourself to get into a rut. You have the power now!! Use it. Use this time where your body will shed weight like crazy to your benefit. don't allow yourself to just give in. Make a goal for every day and stick to it. Focus and just realize that a year from now you will be thin!!! Good luck and keep your head up!
  11. Congrats and keep up the good work!!!
  12. Hey there.. I have to be honest and say I don't take any Vitamins, I did lose some hair about 6 months out but it grew back quickly.. I don't count my calories or my Protein, I just eat protein first and then veg. I don't want to be so food focused anymore. My doc says lapbanders really don't have to worry about Vitamin deficiency. I am almost 10 months out and am doing great! I feel fantastic as well. I was so obsessed at the beginning with counting protein, calories and such and I realized that by focusing so much on food I had traded one habit for another. I am not dieting I am living. I do try and stick to 100 calorie Snacks and the reason isn't because of the 100 calorie's it's because the size is a perfect snack.. I hope this helps. If you are worried get a blood work up done and if it looks good I wouldn't worry at all.
  13. Hey there.. I am here to help with whatever you need. You can pm me or email me at 1morrisfamily@comcast.net.

If you have questions please don't hesitate to pm me!! I love my band and it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I remember feeling the same way and thinking, I am going to fail I know it.. and guess what I didn't fail! Check out my before and in progress pics.. Good luck~
  15. I just wanted to wish you much luck on your adventure!! Congrats!

  18. sorry to hear about your troubles sandiego.. B: 4 oz light yogurt L: 100 calorie pack jack link's beef jerkery, 19 soy ranch chips 120 calorie s: 100 calorie twix d: 2 oz pork chop, couple bites of mashed potatoes s: 1/2 cup of chocolate peanut butter cup ice cream  going to the gym tonight!!! bahh
  19. congrats strike! That is so exciting! What a great job too. You can search online for a weight assesment tool. I did it last night and found what I "should" weigh. Have a great day junies!
  20. Hey there Junies.. Woo Hoo Jennifer!! Congrats girl! I decided to do a weight assesment to see where I should be and it says I should weigh 128-168 uggh. I also had my hubby measure me since he thinks I am shrinking and girls I am shrinking!! I am only 5'8" I was 5'10 just a couple of years ago! Why am I shrinking I am only 39!! Oh well, so I think I am going to go for a goal of 160. Which I think is a pretty realistic goal. So you have to check out this lady who is 49, never had a boyfriend, never been kissed sing her guts out on britain's got talent. go to youtube.com and search susan boyle. It is amazing!!! I have watched it like 10 times today. She has the voice of an angel. How she is not famous already I have no idea but she will be now that is for sure. I am off to go watch American Idol before my hubby steals the remote to watch ufc fighting ugghh. gosh I hate that violent show. sweet dreams!
  21. Hey Junies.. I think I did better when I only ate 3 times a day.. I ate a little more but stayed full longer. Maybe I need a slight unfill.. next month if I am still having to eat every couple of hours I will think about it. My goal weight has changed.. I realized I wanted to get closer to 160 than 170. I did lose 6 pounds and that's why my ticker changed. It's so funny how that I am only 13 pounds from my original goal, and I thought I would never get even close to it. I know that before I have my plastic surgery I want to be as thin as possible so I get the best results. So therefore my goal keeps changing..
  22. b: 4 oz light yogurt l: 3 oz tuna salad, 3 crackers s: 19 ranch soy crisps (120 calories, 3 grams fat, 7 grams protein) d: 1/4 cup green bean casserole, 1 small piece of ham s: 100 calorie milky way
  23. this is sooo weird.. This has happened to me every day for the last month and thought I was developing an allergy. I googled it and voila up popped lapbandtalk! This is definetly not coincidence when this many people have this problem. The b12 deficiency is really interesting. I even had a fill appointment today and never thought it was related to my band. I am scheduling a doctor's appointment for a full blood workup.. if anyone has heard anything please put up an update..
  24. good luck tomorrow MOMof2Boys!
  25. I know that I am either at my sweet spot or super close to it.. the reason I wanted a fill was because I can only eat a couple of bites at a time but then about 2 hours later need another couple of bites. My doc was concerned that if he gave me a fill that I would be to tight and need an unfill. So he said since I had lost the 6 pounds that the fill I had was working and why take the chance of being to tight and having reflux. I hope he is right since there wasn't another available appointment until may 11. I have never not lost between fill appointments and I can guarantee that the week before if I haven't lost I will work my butt off at the gym.. lol I am glad you are still losing Long. I have been trying to stay away from my scale due to me being obsessive about it.. I hadn't gotten on it in almost 2 weeks, I was pretty proud of myself! xoxo
