It's Allie's turn for plastics!

It's Allie's turn for plastics!
TOMORROW! Wow I can't believe that tomorrow I will be on my way to finishing what I started on June 20, 2008. I am so excited and nervous all rolled into one. I think I am ready lol. I have purchased every thing I might possibly need. I am going out today to do some christmas shopping. I was just thinking gosh what if it takes me forever to feel better and I can't get out there to shop. I want to make sure that I get something special for my hubby and my girls. I also think the more prepared I am the less likely anything will go wrong. I will try and get on here as soon as I can after surgery. I am hoping I have a speedy recovery. Please keep me in your prayers

tomorrow! A new me! Plastic surgery here I come!
Holy Crap, tomorrow is the day. I am so excited and nervous. I hope I have everything I need. I have been on a mission. Today I am going out Christmas shopping just in case I won't be able to or if something happens. I am buying something special for my hubby and each of my girls. I just want to be sure that no matter what they have something from me. I figure if I am prepared nothing bad will happen lol. I am happy that I will have the pain pump and hope that I won't be to much of a burden to my family. I will try and get on here as soon as I can after to keep everyone posted. Wish me luck!!!!

It's Allie's turn for plastics!
gahhhh day after tomorrow I will be in surgery at 8:30 a.m.! I am so excited and soo nervous. Kate I didn't get an unfill, I am actually really tight and asked my lapband doc and he said I didn't need to get an unfill. The percocets that I have are small. I have so much to do today.. I am trying to keep busy so I am going to get my nails (mani and pedi) done (no nail polish per doc) but cleaned up. I have to go find some large sweatpants with pockets to hold the drains.. going to finish all the laundry and make a couple dinners to have in the freezer for my family. I did have some sad news yesterday, my grandpa passed away. He has had alzheimers for years and really didn't remember anyone. It is so sad how that disease steals so much. Please keep me in your prayers on Thursday!

Popcorn??????
Hey there.. congrats on your banding.. I eat popcorn occasionally but I can't eat crackers. When I do eat popcorn it is always less than a cup. But I love to snack on popcorn when at the movie theatre. I hope that helps.

Share ideas, What did you eat today ?
breakfast : 2 cups of coffee lunch: small wendy's chili snack: 3 circus peanuts dinner: 1/2 cup homemade stew (just meat and carrots) snack: pumpkin cappucinno I can never eat anything before 11 a.m. I wish I could say no to the circus peanuts

Simple Poll - If you had it to do over...
I would do it again in a heart beat! I paid 18,500 for my lapband and I would pay it again no matter what! I am below my goal and scheduled for my tummy tuck and breast lift on Thursday Nov. 19 yes in a couple of days!!! This is the best thing I have ever done. I reached goal in just about a year.

Skinnyjeans turn for a flat tummy
Hey there skinny!! I am so glad to see you are doing so great. I have of course been freaking out since I will be going in on Thurs for my tt and breast lift. I was so glad to hear that it wasn't as bad as you thought it was going to be. Knowing that your 5 out of 10 pain level made me feel better too! I can hardly wait to see your after pics. I did not get an unfill and now am wondering if I should have. I am really tight but I do like it that way. I plan on just living on protein shakes for the first 2 weeks. Have you showered yet? What kind of clothes did you wear the day of surgery and do you have any tips on clothes? I am really getting excited and now that I saw you were doing so well I am not as scared. xoxoxoxoxoxox

Wannabthinagain's journey
I am sooo excited you liked your Doc. You are pretty much getting the exact same thing I am but I added the lipo of the thighs. Can I ask how much you are paying? I am paying 18,950 with the pain pump added which I definetly need lol. I can hardly wait to hear when your date is. It is so exciting! xoxox

How often do you weigh yourself?
Hey there. congrats on your banding! I weigh every day which is a really bad thing. I am almost ocd about it. The problem with weighing every day is you really don't see the big difference. I would go to the doc's for a fill thinking I hadn't lost much maybe 1/2 pound and voila I had lost 7. It is because when you weigh every day you see just a slight difference. But those little differences really add up fast! I am at goal and still am obsessed with it. On one hand though the scale stopped me from eating to much. If I got on and weighed and felt that it was up I would be extra cautious of what I ate that day. On the other hand it could cause me to feel defeated. THE SCALE IS EVIL lol. Good luck. I don't think I helped much lol.

7 days till plastic surgery~
Holy Moly, 7 days until my surgery. I can't believe it. I started to get really really nervous about the pain so I called my doc and asked about options. He had given me a perscription for 40 percocets. They told me I could get a pain pump for an extra 450. So I bought the pain pump. I feel alot better knowing I will have that as well. I threw my back out last sunday helping a blind drunk woman up some stairs, and I sprained my ankle a week before that. I feel like God is trying to build up my pain tolerance. I am still on the losing trend. With all the stuff going on I really forget to eat. I never thought that would happen to me. lol. I will try and keep this blog going as soon as possible after my surgery but I am hopping to be completely unconsious for the first week. I hate pain. Please say a prayer for a speed recovery for me

Daily News!
Hey there! Cathy- you have been missed on here! I am glad you are doing well. Great- you look great girl, i know it's hard to be happy with the weight but honestly you look fabulous! Well with all the wonderful support from all of you and some others here on lapbandtalk I found out that I can get a pain pump! I called my doc yesterday and they said that it was available but that it was $450.00 I paid for it right then and there. I have this past week been so freaked out about the pain that I was making myself sick. I threw my back out on Sunday and have been in bed until today. I am on the recliner now. I really believe God is trying to build up my pain tolerance. Which I will be the first to admit I am a big baby when it comes to pain! So in 7 days and a wakeup I will be on my way to a new me! I can't believe I am so close. I keep looking at my pre band pics and can't believe I ever let myself get that big. I am still losing even without trying. With all that has been going on, spraining my ankle, back going out, worrying about surgery I just haven't been focusing on eating. It's crazy that now I have to remember to eat. I want to thank all of you for all the support you have given me from pre band to now almost to flatlands. What a wonderful thing this lap band is .. it gave me a whole new life. I will be posting post op pics as soon as I can. I might not be on for awhile due to me wanting to be unconsious for the first week lol. Please remember to thank a Veteran for their service today. I am so proud of my hubby who served 23 years. :tongue_smilie:

It's Allie's turn for plastics!
bahhh 7 days and a wake up and I will be on my way to the flatlands!! I am soo nervous and excited. I found out yesterday that I could buy a pain pump from my doc for 450 so I did! I would never have known that was an option except for some wonderful women on lapbandtalk! This site has given me so much support from pre band to now. I can't believe I am a week away! I have been mia because I threw my back out on Sunday. UGH. That's what I get for helping a drunk blind lady up her stairs. I would do it again in a heart beat but damn my back is killing me. I hate back spasms. I think God is just trying to build up my pain tolerance. I am up sitting on the couch today which is a huge improvement. I hope everyone has a wonderful Veteran's day. My hubby served 23 years in the Navy so today I am going to try and move around to show him how much I appreciate his service. Please remember to thank a service person today! We could not be a free country without them! xoxo

If you had a tummy tuck please help! Im getting one on 11/19 and have multiple ques!
wow ladies thanks so much for all the great info! I called my doctor yesterday and asked if the pain pump was available to me they said yes but it would cost an extra $450.00 I paid for it right then and there. I would rather pay than be in pain. Thank you so much for that info, otherwise I would have never known. My plan is to sleep in the recliner on our main floor, that way I don't have to do stairs and I will be elevated. I am getting soooo anxious and nervous. My back went out on Sunday and I have been in so much pain from the muscle spasms. I am getting so frustrated two weeks ago I sprained my ankle and tore some ligaments and tendons in my foot. I think I have it figured out, I think God is just trying to help build up my pain tolerance for this surgery. I am trying to think positive. It is getting harder and harder. I have lost another 3 pounds this week. Being on flexerill (sp?) really makes any thoughts of foods disappear. Thanks again and I will keep all of you posted as how I progress. Please say a prayer for me :tongue_smilie:

I am going to buy some sweatpants with pockets today and some slippers! What about the toilet? Did you buy something to make it higher? You rock sister! Thanks so much! xoxo

Wannabthinagain's journey
wow you are super prepared with some great questions. I would add the question, which I am worried about since we are staying in a hotel the night of surgery do I need to get anything like a bed wedge or something to make the toilet easier to sit on?? I just started worrying about these things. I am so excited for you and thanks for the shout out lol. :w00t:
