  1. Thanks. Sounds like mine. Hoping I'll feel better tomorrow after all "tomorrow is another day."
  2. Thanks. That is reassuring to hear! It's definitely put a screeching halt on my walking and moving around. Still trying but literally tear jerking.
  3. The actual incision is healthy, just very painful.
  4. 8 days post OP and yesterday and today I have had TERRIBLE incisional pain in my main incision. It's not infected I had a nurse look at it, but I swear there is a hot searing knife in my belly. It has gotten so bad that even the slightest movement puts me in tears. Anybody experiencing this. I was off narcotic pain meds for days 6-7 and now I'm back in because I can't stand it:(
  5. Found that out last night in accident. Reverted to an old habit and chugged and felt miserable!
  6. I am trying but just feeling so nauseous! I just made some "ice cream" vanilla and chocolate almond milk mixed with my orange cream protein powders. Has your doctor said anything about adding fruits to your water for greater diversity?
  7. I must be a weenie!!! I'm so sore and everything gives me gas and gurgle belly. I was barely able to get up and walk today because just getting up to go potty made me nauseous and weak feeling. After reading lots of blogs people said it is a lack of protein. That's tomorrows goal!
  8. I'm struggling to get all my protein in today. The Isopure drinks are making me more nauseous than I already. I got some vanilla and chocolate SO delicious protein milk. I added my vanilla protein powder and am freezing it. Hopefully a little ice cream like. Also I have seen a bunch of cheating using mashed potatoes. Seems strange cause it has no protein, what about cheating using hummus? Creamy peanut butter? Greek yogurt. I got to this place in my life because of cheating, but I need more protein. Otherwise I feel like I am sooooooooooooo weak.
  9. I'm 4 days post OP RNY. Feel mostly ok. Incision pain is what is really bugging me. I'm tired of liquids already and really want too get back in the kitchen and start cooking. Anybody have any suggestions in getting all the protein in. Every time I eat any protein I automatically feel horribly full. I know I am supposed to feel full but I think it actually might be dumping. Any help?
  10. danny7995 why liquids for 7.5 weeks post OP?! I'm 4 days and am dying to chew something!!
  11. @@frankocanadian just wanted to say hi and curious how you are feeling and getting along. Hope everything was successful and you have a quick recovery.
  12. @@Maineman thank you. Tonight is my "last supper" I'm also traveling to Denver tonight. 2 days of Migraines are kicking my butt also. All for a better me !
  13. "I'm sexy and I know it"
  14. @@EmergingMissP mine is the 29th also!!
  15. I had the same question!
  16. Congrats! Definitely join the pregnancy group. I work @ an obgyn office so non of my advice is surgery specific. Stay extra hydrated! Don't let your sugar levels drop. We always recommend ginger and peppermint for morning sickness (tea, chews, mints)_ check with your doctors though! Good luck.
  17. How have your levels been? How are you doing on your goals?
  18. @@bookworm, so did you forego the IVC filter then? When was your surgery?
  19. I am scared out of my mind also! Scheduled for 4/29. I am not scared about surgery per se but life after surgery. I haven't ever heard of anybody regretting surgery either. I am glad to be on here. I am feeling more confident the more I talk to people on here.
  20. @mentalistfan. Yeah that is the IVC filter. My pcp thinks it is overkill just curious what other opinions out there were.
  21. Bookworm- how long after were you on lovenox?
  22. I'm crying to know there are others out there! I take my last dose of coumadin tonight and start lovenox in the am. I have been on coumadin for 12 years due to APS. I got my first DVT @18. Had 4 PE's 1 year ago. Any of your surgeons suggesting an IVC filter?
  23. Wow! Birthsjourney! Congrats. That is amazing.
