  1. Hi, I live in NoVa too. Had my surgery on March 17, 2014 at Fair Oaks hospital. Everything went great!
  2. I'm 4 1/2 weeks out and I am also having lower backs pains. I thought it was because of my spin classes, but now I'm wondering. I'm not laying around much either. That can also cause lower back pain.
  3. I'm going to have to give this a try. Miralax isn't working at all, and it's been more than a week for me. I'm getting a bit worried.
  4. I'm not allowed protein shakes, so I know that isn't an issue. But, thank you all for responding. I will just be patient and keep following the plan.
  5. Like I said I'm 4 1/2 weeks post op. I lost 27 lbs the first month, but now my weight hasn't moved at all this past week. I am following the doctors orders, drinking my fluids and I do spin class 3 days a week. Anyone have any ideas of why I would stall out so quickly? It's a little frustrating Thanks!
  6. I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and general anxiety disorder 7 years ago. I gained so much weight from meds, that gastric bypass was my best option. Even though I found a great cocktail of meds now, I still had some issues with anxiety after surgery. I just continue with my meds and see my therapist once a week. She really helps me with my eating issues, and that I need to make sure to look at food as fuel. I use to constantly eat my emotions. It has really helped. Hang in there, and feel free to chat with me anytime about how you're feeling.
  7. Hi everyone! My name is Amanda and I had my gastric bypass on March 17. Since then I have lost 27 pounds, but have definitely sloooowed down. I made the decision for gastric bypass since I started gaining weight 7 years ago after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The medications put so much weight on me and it has been really hard to lose. Now, I have found a medication that has worked and have been stable for sometime! For the first time I am looking forward to the future!
