Hello, my name is Kara. I am 39, soon to be 40. I was born and raised in Southern California, transplanted to West Texas some 6 years ago. I've had my first appointment with the friendly folks at Barker here in Lubbock, TX. I'm on the 3 month plan. My father has the sleeve last June. I'm having the Duodenal Switch.

I'm hoping to meet new friends as I'm certain this is going to be a challenge, and I don't know anyone else in my immediate group of friends that have been through it. My family is all in California.

I love to SING! I'm always down for Karaoke or a movie, or just getting out of the house. I have no idea how I'm going to work the food portions. How do you puree 2 tbsp of Green Beans?? Mortar and Pestle perhaps??

I'm fun and friendly. I look forward to meeting you.
