  1. Truffle shuffle..LOL! I'm actually in Portland/Beaverton...just a die hard Goonies fan????. Good to hear you're feeling better....it's quite the ride!
  2. Hi there! I had issues with isopure first....but thank you for the suggestion. Sorry you had issues too!
  3. It took me 6 weeks to feel "normal". 8 weeks to feel good/energetic! You'll get there, it just takes time....believe me it's much easier to say that at 5 months out....those first few weeks just dragged for me. Take care!
  4. So for a while now I've been feeling crummy after drinking/eating protein shakes & bars....my dr. suggested taking a new whey protein shot in order to get all my protein in. So I choked it down yesterday...within minutes I was nauseated. Long story short I lost 3 pounds last night & feel like my abs had a weeks worth of working out (if I weren't feeling so weak I'd consider it a victory) I don't think I'm stretching it when I believe I have a whey protein issue...my question is....does anyone else have this? If so, can you recommend any non whey shakes or bars? Grazie!
  5. 192....congrats to all who made goal!
  6. 195....it's coming off SLOWLY now but it's still coming off (or I've shed 2 lbs of hair this week...feels like a possibility)
  7. 199!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. 107...waa..waa...waa
  9. @finediva...I only had a few noises post op..but on Monday when it hit 3 months it started creaking & has not shut up!!! I had 2 people at the grocery store today ask me if I was hungry...just the kind of question a wls patient wants to be asked, lol! Maybe you're just advanced or on a brighter note maybe your belly is getting all the talking done early out .
  10. I'm sure you can...it's that insanely loud gurgling-creaking-moan like craziness that is being created by my midsection now...holy crapoli, it's embarrassing & it does not seem to care that I'm completely annoyed by it...I just hit three months & the dang thing does not shut up...is it my stomach trying to desperately alert me that it's still there & it misses it's friend Doritos? Or are all my other organs loudly taunting the now streamlined stomach? Does it end? Will my core ever be quiet again? I need a loud hobby to drown out all this noise....but seriously people...DOES IT QUIET DOWN???
  11. Congratulations...so inspiring!
  12. I'm posting a bit early as I won't be home most of tomorrow...I "get" to chaperone a bunch of 7 year olds to scout camp (keyword, get). And post camp I plan having on needing an adult beverage or three My current weight is 208 Woot woot & thanks for doing this!
  13. I was extremely exhausted the first few weeks...lack of calories=lack of energy. At 4 weeks post surgery I was more energetic. At 6 weeks I felt normal. At 8 weeks I felt better than I had in years...I'm currently 12 weeks out & am so happy with my surgery...that first month was harder for me to recover from than my c-sections...it will get better!!!
  14. Today 7/14 212.. Thank you!!!
  15. Awesome! Good luck all!!!
  16. Is it too late to join in? If not, I'd love to participate as I could use the motivation.... SW-214 GW/DW/NIJMU-190 (Goal Weight/Dream Weight/Number I'm Just Making Up ) Thank you! Tonya
  17. Good luck to you in whichever surgery you choose! I was originally thinking lapband as it's reversible. BUT, everyone I met with discouraged it...and quite frankly, I didn't want another surgery so having it fail & then going through a revision did not appeal to me (weird, right ). I had a vsg simply because I was worried about malabsorption issues....I know my bones aren't the strongest and don't want them turning to dust any earlier than they already will....yes, that grossly over exaggerated but pretty much my luck
  18. Berries I was referring to are now my profile pic as I couldn't figure out how to load without flash
  19. Pre surgery I'd look at these lovely berries & think of all the delicious items I could bake...post surgery, I look at all these berries & think "woo hoo, natures laxatives"
  20. Lovely! Congrats on reaching your goal!
  21. I've used premier, designer whey & nectar..I very easily could be drinking them too fast....as it seems I always want to get the protein out of the way Thanks for the tip...I'll slow down today & see if I can tolerate it!
