  1. Hey there,we have the same day!!!
  2. Hello there, My date is two days after you, I'm so nervous but excited . I'm a revision from lapband to sleeve or bypass. Haven't decided yet which one I will go with. Good luck to you !
  3. Hi all, I finally have a date !!! I'm August 20th, I'm excited . I'm a revision from band to sleeve. Or bypass. I still have time to change my mind about whAt I'm going to get.
  4. Hello, I was wondering how is it going for your new sleeve, I'm set to get the sleeve on August 20th (revision from band) and I'm torn, how has your weight loss been?
  5. I'm so proud of you, that is so remarkable!! How much did you lose the first year?
  6. So sorry that you are feeling that way because I know the same feeling. I'm going through the same thing. I can't fit anything. I gave away a ilot of clothes last year because I didn't feel that I needed them , I gave away some 18 'a and 20's because I was doing great, and then my band started malfunctioning, and I started taking in slider foods. I gained 40 lbs so fast. I can't believe it myself. I stay on this site because it's do inspiring, I know my surgery is in July, I just don't have a date yet. My bariatric center submitted my paperwork first to have the lapband removed and a separate order to get the sleeve, but it will be performed at the same time. Good luck to you, when are you getting revised?
  7. Can revisioners please puts their stats, cw, date of revision, #'s lost and how their experience has been. This is so inspiring,
  8. Tynoodles11, I definitely feel you on the disappointment with the band. I am not sure of my date yet, I am just getting started so I am sure I will have to do another GI, psych, and see the nutritionist before I get a date. Thanks a bunch and yes we can definitely do this Hi there. Sorry for the late reply, I'm new to this site!! I don't know how to friend someone on here, but we can follow each other and I'll keep you posted on my progress.
  9. Hey you all, I'm new to this, I'm trying to see how to follow or friend someone.
  10. Correction, I already had all apts except another surgery prep class.
  11. Hi, I'm also considering the revision. I'm actually in the process of getting the sleeve. I had to get an upper GI, have a psych eval and also nutritionist appt. I spoke with the coordinator of my center and he said my surgery date will be in July just as long as I'm approved. Please pray for me. I failed miserably with the lapband, I'm back at my pre surgery weight, we can be buddies too, how soon are you looking to get sleeved?
  12. Hi that's great news, who is you're insurance co? Correction #your

  18. Wow, I hope I'm approved as quickly as you. If you don't mind me asking do you have bcbs ? No I have UHC Wow that was fast! Good luck!
  19. Oh cowgirlJane, any advice for me. I'd like to be just as successful as you. The reason I wanted the gastric is because after reading about others experience post revision , I didn't think one could lose all if the weight. But you've inspired me. Can you give me the date in which you has the revision , how long it took. Etc. thank you
  20. Thank you very much!! Your reply is inspiring. I went and met with the surgeon yesterday and it was more so an informational session. He turned me off because he mentioned how he hate to do revisions and he said. 9times out of ten if you fail once you will fail again. I was outdone. He didn't talk to me specifically he was giving his presentation . I knew at that point that I wouldn't want such a pessimistic dr . Operating on me!!
  21. I 've been a lapband patient since 2010, I ran into complications since last year with throwing up just about every day which has caused me to seek out foods that will slip right through my band, which is usually high calorie, soff foods. I went to see my surgeon on May 1st to discuss the revision. . From doing my research, I think I'll do much better with the gastric bypass. He decided he would do the sleeve. I'm back a my preop weight from lapband and do not want a slow loss or for that matter no loss at all. I feel safe with my surgeon, but I really want the bypass, he said he doesn't feel that I need bypass. To make a long story short, I have an appointment scheduled today to see another surgeon, what do you all think?? Are there any revisioners to sleeve or band that can provide me with any advice. Sorry this is such a long post, but I'm so confused.
  22. Wow, I hope I'm approved as quickly as you. If you don't mind me asking do you have bcbs ?
  23. Wow, you look fabulous!!!
  24. Yes I'm from Chicago, my doctor is dr.lufti, he did my lapband so I consulted with him may 1st about revision surgery, I had my hopes on the gastric bypass, but he wants to do the sleeve. I have a day long appt at his office on next Wednesday to get a trans nasal endoscopy, psych and nutritionist. I hope that I will not be much longer than that! I'm ready to do this surgery.
