I am just 2 weeks post op but also feel so full all the time. I'm not eating hardly anything because I can't stand to add more to that feeling. Really hope this goes away! I'm barely consuming 300 cals a day! And protein shakes are gonna make me go wacko!!

I was blessed with a nice round butt- other half is afraid I am going to lose it.. I hope not but if I do that's ok cause I will rock whatever I am left with. People are the cruelest creatures on the planet! I find though that the nasty ones are the most insecure. Becoming thinner or being fat doesn't make a person any prettier when the insides are ugly. I would rather be fat and surround by other fat people who are kind than give a second of my time or consideration to a mean Nasty person. So good for you for standing up for yourself! Don't ever let anyone ever take your sparkle.

Would love to have one too! Having hard time creating meals cause nothing seems to jump out at me. I really like veggies but they are off menu for right now. One more protein shake and I may hurt somebody!!

Congrats Brian that's also day I had mine. There are a couple of us in this group that had it se day. How did yours go? How are you feeling? Any comments about your journey thus far?

Going for post op netting with dr today. Should be releasing me to go back to work on Monday. Doing great! Only complaint is trying to get in enough protein, water, pills and the few bites of food in a day. I'm constantly having to watch the clock! Always feel so full.. Kinda uncomfortable all day long! Down 11lbs lost that in first few days- no movement on scales for past 3 days

I agree that you shouldn't start too early. I didn't have to do liquids except 1 day prior to surgery. I am now 3 days post op and already miss solids! Not really hungry so what I am feeling is all head hunger. Perhaps just substitute a meal a day with shakes??

Just had my surgery 8/5 . Everything you are feeling is normal. I've had 4 other surgeries and was never nervous but this one had me on pins and needles. But come to find out I was worried for no reason. Pain is minimal and seem to be moving around a lot better than I had for the other times. I think for most of us the fear is that it won't work on us! But I know as long as I do what doc and nut say I will be a success and so will you!!! Let us know how things go as soon as you get a chance!

Congrats! I am 2 days post op and feel pretty good. Stomach is sore and have a little gas but I make sure I am walking a lot.. Get out of bed as soon as you can. I was walking every hour right after surgery. Think that's why I didn't have to deal with real bad gas pains...

Hey blond and anyone else out there who needs support- I just had my bypass surgery 8/5 so I am a newbie BUT I did have surgery at a center for excellence by the chief of staff. I have had numerous nut visits and have a large binder of several topics like diet, exercise, recipes and so on. I spend several hours a day on research and feel I am educated in this process. A far as repetitive posts about stalls- I agree that everyone should know that they will happen- but consider the fear we all have had that maybe we are one of the ones this doesn't work for? SUPPORT should not be something we pick and choose as to when we provide it and to whom. Support should be given freely. Each and everyone of us are/has been fat- and we each made the choice to finally do something about it. We know better than most what it feels like to be judged... So shame on anyone in here judging others! Perhaps you are now superior to the rest of us? If so maybe you need to move on to answering the questions In vogue magazines instead of griping about questions you find in here? With that being said- I am available to anyone to answer questions I feel I can or direct you to other sources if I don't know...

You will do fine! I'm amazed that the pain is so minimal... Had gallbladder surgery was way worse!

Thanks Becky.. I am also so happy to hear your doing so well. Hated that you had so many issues at your age especially.. You will most definitely be in my sights as we go through this. Yeah for all of us!!!

Bypass... And really glad he did it. The ones on my floor with sleeve are not doing as well as I am. They are very nauseous and dr said that will more than likely last a week! Everyone said I best patient on floor! Brag brag brag. I have just changed and given up so much to get here. From here on out my success is up to me and I refuse to be the reason for that! Am doing everything doc says and also taking advise from all of you. All that reading really prepared me!!!

So mine went well! How are you doing??

Everything went well. Took a whole hour just to clear scar tissue. Had massive Nausea for a few hours but doing great now. Walking every hour- no gas issues!!! Several others who are here are not doing as we'll- they won't get up and walk.. Do what dr says- they know what they are doing!!

So glad everything went well and your home! Now you can heal and start your new life!!! Keep us posted. I go in tomorrow for surgery. Will post as soon as I can

I know! CRAZY!!!! Cant wait - I am soooo ready!

I totally agree that the biggest factor is appearance! I have never had a self esteem issue really - I get compliments all the time because I take care of myself and make sure my clothes are nice, my hair is done, nails done and so on. I do have a few health issues but they are under control with medication. I am doing this so I feel better on the outside! I am tired of having to hunt for clothes that dont come with a huge flower all over them - or have no style what so ever. I want to be able to go into any store and shop - not just the fat girl stores! I want to wear sundresses again! I want to feel sexy and be able to buy something from victoria secrets and rock it! I want to be able to buy nice bras - not the ones with 50 hooks and an underwire that I end up cutting out because it hits me in the side of my boobs!

I guess I am a big mouth cause I told/tell everybody! lol. I could care less what other people think - if they think I am taking the "easy" way out or if they think I am crazy for doing surgery for any reason..Its none of their business. Besides - I dont hang out with people who dont support me anyway. I am blessed to have great coworkers, family and friends. With that being said, people have shown concern over surgery just because as with any surgery it carries risks - I have already had 4 abdominal surgeries so my risk is higher just by statistics..My mother also died during an operation so that is brought up sometimes. Other than that I answer questions when I am asked about the process - I find most people are curious about recovery time and diet info more than anything else...

Sorry you had such an issue kyrickchick... Couple of comments to make..1) I would not go back to that Dr! If they dont make you feel confident in being a priority on the initial visit when they should be on their best behavior so you choose to do business with them - how do you think they are going to be once you have actually layed money down? As a concumer - and thats what all of us are - we have the right to be treated like our business means something to them. Not just like another piece of meat or an inconvienance. Doesnt put a lot of faith in them taking their time to make sure things are done right??? 2) Why the lapband? I know we are not really supposed to push 1 surgery over another - but I have read sooooo many posts about the band having to be removed and surgeries having to be revised. It could takes months before they even get the band to the right "settings" where you get to reap the benefits of it?? Most doctors are moving away from the bands all together....Also think you should go to youtube and watch a band removal video...I am sure you have done lots of research about all your options - I just am concerned because I dont want to see anyone not get the results they dream of. So banders please dont beat me up too bad!

Glad they got you in! I would have thrown a hissy fit. Dont they know not to mess with a woman trying to lose weight!! lol
