  1. You look FABULOUS!!!
  2. I didn't want to announce having WLS either. I scheduled my surgery around a holiday and only took 4 sick days.
  3. I have only told a handful of people that I was sleeved. One of my neighbors came by knowing I had surgery. She asked what I had done and I told her I was sleeved. She gave me a disgusted look. This reassures me that I did not make the wrong choice in keeping this quiet. SMH
  4. I am on blood thinner injections for 10 days.
  5. I was sleeved on the 27th. I finally had a miniature BM today. Make sure to get in enough water and it will happen with time.
  6. Day 5 full liquids for 14 more days
  7. Day 5 full liquids for 14 more days
  8. Good to hear you are doing well. I was also sleeved on the 27th. The gas was horrific. I felt like I had been shot just below by collar bones. It hurt to breathe let alone move. That has passed and I have zero abdominal pain. My lower back is what is killing me from all of the time in bed. I wish you all the best.
  9. TMI continued... I had explosive water BMs late day 2 and all day day 3, and now just gas. When I left the hospital day 2 I was told I would have water stool until I passed all of the contrast from the 3 leak tests I underwent pre discharge. I was sleeved on the 27th.
  10. It seems as though my sergeon removed the majority of my stomach and inserted a snarling gurgling creature. What the heck are these noises that are coming from my abdomen?!?
  11. My husband was not on board with the idea of me being sleeved. From the time I came home he has been surprisingly supportive. He is quite the nurse helping me keep on track with vitamins and meds as well as coming up with new meal plans for me. I don't know where this guy came from, but I pray he sticks around. 3 days sleeved
  12. You have to take large gulps of contrast while rotating as the radiologist instructs you and takes images. It turned out that the radiologist was concerned b/c my pouch has a jagged edge. Thank goodness there isn't a leak!
  13. These folks are playing with my emotions. First they tell me I'm all clear of a leak, then they come back an hour later and tell me I need to re do the leak test for fear of a pin hole leak. Loss of control of my emotions round 1.
  14. Day 2 post op. Leak test came back good. Pain still at a 1 or 2 w/o pain meds. Hopefully I can go home when the doc makes his rounds :-)
  15. I only had 1 day of liquids. Had surgery today and thus far it's been way easier than I imagined.
  16. The abdominal binder is a lifesaver! I was sleeved today and they put one on me before I got in the recovery room. My pain is only about a 3 w/meds and I've been walking every hour.
  17. Hey everybody! I was sleeved this morning and I feel pretty good. My pain is minimal, I am able to pass gas w/o pain, and I get to start sipping in 30 minutes! I am so excited... and slightly dopey lol.
  18. I am sleeved!!! Surprisingly very little pain, thank god.
  19. Thank you everyone for the positive thoughts!
  20. Will be sleeved in 7 hours! I am so dang nervous. I've been pacing the floor for 2 hours. I haven't thought to much abt dying but I find myself praying that I don't die and leave my boys. Sh@t! I'm going to try my best to go to sleep but I highly doubt I will get mor than a solid hour in. Sigh
  21. For real! This time tomorrow :-0
  22. My mother had 50 % of her stomach removed 30 years ago due to unexplained necrosis and has never had a problem since.
  23. I'm May 27th! I'm on a 1200 calorie diet for the last week and liquids the day before. I'm slightly nervous, but keeping busy getting my house and family in order.
