How much weight did you loose in the first 4 weeks?
Let's see I weighed in at 296 the day of my surgery 12/19/13. Today I weigh 248.5. I'm losing about 2.5/3.5 lbs per week.

Resistance Band Exercises, anyone got some good ones?
Hello All! I really need to exercise more than I am right now (walking to and from the metro isn't cutting it!) and I have resistance bands with a few exercises. I was wondering I any of y'all have suggestions? I don't want to spend $$$ on a gym membership! Thanks! Yo.

New to this---Please Help!
Ultimately you need to decide who and what you are having the surgery for. The answer was clear for me: myself, Health and Family. I am 3 months post op and just made brown rice, roasted chicken with gravy, and corn for my family. I ate chicken and rice with a little gravy. We all sat down as we always have and had dinner and talked about our day. The big difference is I didn't have any dinner rolls and I'm 70lbs lighter!

Diet Coke Addiction
I've tried the carbonated beverages and was unimpressed by how different they tasted. I loved diet cherry Pepsi and coke zero had one the other day and it just tasted like syrup. I did try a ginger ale which I wasn't a fan I before and it helped settle my stomach. I'm still afraid of carbonation though!

Im a 34 year old wife and mama of three kids that I homeschool. My surgery is on March 10th
Hi! I'm 3mos from surgery and am down a little over 50lbs (72.5lbs) all together. I have a 14yo and a 9yo. Can I count my hubby he's 33;)? lol we just moved to Washington DC for a job promotion about a month after my surgery....it's been insane! Trying to establish our routines in a new place and me having a new job, with new eating habits! It's been hard and frustrating but also wonderful and liberating. I have so much more energy and for the first time in my daughters life-I slid down the slide with her! Twice! Sometimes my family can't keep up with me now!

Lost More Than The Weight
Hang in there. I am 3 months post op and have lost about 50lbs. I just took a trip to value village for some slacks and walked away with a pair of 9west shoes, a new pair of pants with tags, a new shirt and two pairs of leggings for $46. The best part they were three sizes smaller than before . Do you, do what feels good.

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
I would say mine was riding in airplanes. I travel a lot for work and it was so uncomfortable to be in a flight at over 300lbs. The seatbelt barely fastened. I was just plain old tired. It seems like a small thing now but it really hit me during a flight to AK when I was actually booking a flight based on getting a window seat because I was more comfortable there.
