June 19th for me! I just came home from all my pre admission testing, stuff is getting real now! I'm nervous but excited, and I can't help but wonder if this will work for me. I guess i'm used to being a diet failure! My doctor is only requiring a liquid diet 1day before surgery & nothing after midnite the nite before. Weird huh? It seems like y'all are having the liquid diet way longer! Good luck everyone! In a week we'll all be losers!

I can relate to these as well!! My surgery date is 6/19 and I have a few things I can't wait for either! How about: 1- tucking my jeans in boots this winter! 2- buying clothes from any store I want! 3- weighing less then my husband! 4- skinny whoopie! (Lol) 5- going to my nieces wedding in January and buying a pretty dress I feel good in! 6- running, playing, riding bikes more with my kids!! I can't wait to get the new me started!! ????

Hi all I started with Dr Abkin at the JFK for life center in Edison but due to an insurance issue, I just changed to Dr Prokurat at Centra State. I'm scheduled for June 19th & I cannot wait!!

My new surgeon Dr Prokurat wants to schedule me for 6/19, as long as insurance approves it!! Only 3 days later then I was scheduled for! Yay!! Cross your fingers & wish me luck!!

Justjamie I started out with Dr Abkin, but due to my insurance I have to change surgeons, and I've had to find a surgeon who works in a "blue select" center. I go visit my new surgeon Friday! Sleeve30 glad to hear you are feeling a bit better, and yay fir the 6lbs!!

Thanks so much for your response, I have a call to their office and hope to make an appointment with them. I have all my pre-op work done and can get all the documents from my surgeons office, because of something in my BCBS policy, I have to use Centra State because of it being a "blue select" center! What a hassle! Thanks again for the info!!

Has anyone had their procedure done here? Who was your surgeon and would you recommend them? Due to my insurance (BCBS) I have to use this facility. Thanks for any help you can give!

I left 2 messages with the insurance company so I have to wait to hear from them. I guess I won't need to go to that class tomorrow!

The doctors office says the ins co gave them the wrong info to start with. I have BCBS PPO. The doctors office says this is a stipulation my employer put on the health care plan we have. I'm so screwed!!

So I got a call from BCBS today and apparently my doctors office is a center is excellence which is what the insurance company had said they needed to be but now the insurance company says they made a mistake and the center bust be a " blue choice" center, which my doctor is not. So I have jumped thru all these hoops for nothing! Now I have to find a blue choice center ASAP if I want to still get my surgery. I'm so depressed. I feel like this was all for nothing & now I have no help in sight....

Hey Sleeve30! Good news! They put me in the 5/20 class at Dr Abkin's too! Make sure you say hi to me when you see me "in the flesh"! I finished all my tests yesterday and I'm ready to be submitted to insurance! Did you get your answer yet??

I mean ask if I can come to class earlier! Duh
