  5. M worried about how the sleeve surgery will affect my medications. I'm on the perfect cocktail and haven't been depressed in 3 years. Has the surgery affected anyone with their meds?

  8. That is a funny rule having to wait a year before you will get excepted for surgery. Its excited to be on this journey.
  9. I'm 5'1" I'm going through all the teasing now I'm almost finished. My surgery is Aug/Sept.
  10. MY sleeve surgery is not until Aug/sept I'm looking for some people who are having Their surgery in the fall who are from Maryland.
  11. I just started my journey April 3rd. I am now doing all the test I have 3 test left. The psychological, endoscopy and a EKG which I the last 3 appointments with the next 3 weeks. I can't wait for August/September to have my sleeve. I'm so excited. I was going to do the last year but I was not ready. Now I'm so ready to do this.

  13. Was told by a psychiatrist my meds would have to be taken more frequently because of the surgery. Something how the meds are absorbed quickly. Have you heard of this? I have not been depressed for over 2 yrs. and don't want to be playing with my meds.
  14. Go4itLori - that's a great idea! I'll do the same. I have the summer off so I'll have plenty of time to go to the gym.
  15. I just started my journey last Monday. Tomorrow I have 3 appointments one with the nutritionist and the 2nd with the cardiologist lastly, having my blood work done too. Having my psychological on Thursday. I will call tomorrow to make the rest of my appointments. I'm so excited I got the ball rolling. I have my surgery in September
  16. Does anyone have Carefirst? I was approved on the first try. They said I have to wait 6 months I need to see a nutritianist once a month. I was wondering since I have tried so things to lose weight ie: weight watchers 5x personal trainer, gym, nutri system, to name a few. I'd like to know if they can take that into covciderTion?
  17. My surgeon will be Dr. Alex Gandsas he is from NJ and is now in Maryland. The hospital will be Anne Arundel Medical Center. He's a GREAT doctor! Has any one used him?
  18. Do you have to wait 6 months before surgery because of insurance? I wish it were in 3 month.
  19. Today was the first day of the journey I will go on. I went to see my surgeon Dr Gandsas he's a great guy. I already have a lot of appointments setup for a lot of pre-op test. I'm so excited!!
