  1. Saturday started my first "sickness" since RNY surgery on 11/7. It started as a sore throat, runny nose and head cold ...then the diarrhea started. Three days of GAS and diarrhea every time I put anything in my stomach!!! My bottom was sooo sore!! today is day 4 and the diarrhea has eased off, but now it has moved to my chest. Any advise on medicine, treatments, suggestions, ideas or experiences of being sick after bypass. I just got back from family dr and she gave me liquid zpack and cough medicine.
  2. I too hate most Protein drinks. It is not only the taste but the smell!! I really like the Atkins Life berry. It tastes like grape juice to me. I added Crush strawberry diet pack to it and it was even better. The lemon one is terrible!!!!!!! My walmart has them on close out for $5/4-pack. Going to check the other walmarts around town and buy them up. My surgeon wants me to bring 4 isopure bottles to the hospital. I have surgery next Monday!! But everyone I have tried has been yuckie! With them 40 g protein a bottle but they are large bottles. I'm thinking of bringing the atkins lift instead. It is a smaller bottle with 20g but if I will actually drink it. Good luck finding one you like!
  3. Good Luck!! I have my surgery next Monday. Keep us up to date on your progress!!
  4. Crystal I noticed you are from NC and I live in Raleigh NC and considering DS. I would love to keep up with your experiences and how it goes. I am new at this forum so I'm not sure how this all works. Bev
  5.    theard reacted to a post in a topic: Trouble with the band. Does it get any better?
  6. Go Monday and see your doctor. I had the same thing after surgery and did not know that the doctor had prefilled the band during surgery. I was miserable and could not keep much down. It was from the band being partly filled and the swelling around the band. I had immediate relief when the doctor took out the fluid. I waited 2 weeks and was miserable before going to the doctor!! So don't wait go see doctor.
