  1. I don't think I have had any weaknesses really. I haven't been perfect but I have made all good choices since surgery. I had my three month follow up today and I asked the doc when I will start to feel hungry again and she said after around 6 months... This I think is when the challenge starts! I am 5'4" and started at 270 lbs.. 250 at surgery date.... Just hit 199 OnEderland!! Went from 24 tight to 16 perfect! Hoping to hit my next goal of 100 lbs by my sons wedding in October!!!
  2. Woot woot!! That's so awesome!! That's what size I am in too!!! It's amazing!! I started at size 24! You look fabulous!!! Keep up the good work!!
  3. 199!!!! Made it to ONEderland!! Wooohoooo
  4. I crave chocolate now and then so I have pure protein chocolate deluxe bars I have for a meal!! Hahah yummmmm I am currently awaiting some frollicks to come!! They will be my chip substitute! They don't sell them here in NY so I had to have a friend in Colorado get them for me and send them!! I found them online.. Frollicks.com
  5. According to my fitness pal I was getting plenty of calcium through food. I hate taking supplements! Blah! Bad enough taking chewable complete Flinstone B12 and D3 so I make sure I have one glass of fat free milk in the am even though doc said no liquid calories... Haha then Greek yogurt and cheese sticks! I'm pretty sure my issue was potassium.. The minute I started eating more foods with high potassium they went away. Live my fitness pal!! Oh ya also I'm not good at getting water in!! I do my best but have never gotten more than 40 oz in one day.
  6. I went to a seminar with a pharmacist speaker and she said the reason we shouldn't do gummy's or that most doctors don't want you to take them is because we have very little acid in our new little tummies and it doesn't stay long enough to break down and therefore you may not get all if what it has to offer. This is why they recommend the chewables.
  7. Can't remember if I posted yet... I was 201 in Monday 7/21!! : ) thanks!!
  8. Forgot to check in yesterday!! 201!!!! 2 more pounds to ONEderland!!
  9. I'm only three months out but I'm sure there will come a time when I have it down what I can and can't... Should and shouldn't eat.. Until that day comes I am tracking!! Hahaha
  10. I think muscle cramps could be lack of calcium/ lack if potassium/ lack if vitamin D because that is what assists in the absorption of both or lack if water. : )
  11. I'm 4/23 too... I'm down a total of 67.. 20 pre op 47 post op. I'm loving wearing a bathing suit with no back fat! Hahaha everyone in the free world knew I was having the surgery so no surprises there.. Loving the compliments!!! 4 pounds to ONEderland and of course I am on a stall!! I go to docs on the 28th and hoping to be there!! I have my sons wedding in October and would love to reach my 100 pound goal by then!!! I have had so much support!! I try to get to the gym as much as I can but only do cardio (treadmill) right now, probably will start using the machines soon. I'm glad you are doing well too!! It's so exciting!! I still have a tough time with Water and get foot cramps now and then so I up my potassium! That's about it!! It's great to hear from everyone!! Keep us updated!!!
  12. I downloaded my fitness pal and make sure I get between 60 to 90 grams of protein a day by eating a lot of high protein foods like salmon deli meats Greek yogurt... Cheese.. P3.. Egg whites.. Pure protein bars.. I rarely eat too many carbs and try to stick to good carbs...veggies a small amount.. Some fruit like watermelon or cantaloupe. I have not had any Gerd or reflux. I measure everything!! 3/4 cup or 6oz is all I can fit! I am shedding a lot as well I hear at around 6 months it starts to come back but not sure.. I feel ok when I get up.. But I have a routine in the morning and I don't feel any different than before surgery.. Haha never have been a morning person!! I was sleeved 4/23 SW 270 OW 250 CW 203 Stalled now for a week... Tasting ONEderland!! Hahaha Get your protein in!!! It's important!!
  13. Haha awesome!! Ok I'm convinced!! Now I am gonna have to try some!!! I haven't had any potty issues so far and I haven't had any issues with any of the food I've had.. I must have a cast iron sleeve!! Hahaha thanks for the help!! Much appreciated!! I have been avoiding foods I shouldn't be!! My insurance won't pay for a nutritionist... They say they have their own but I have been playing phone tag with her for over a month!! Ridiculous!!! Blah!! Thanks again!!
  14. Oh if you like spinach... That is great to get potassium as well.. I know I'm low when I wake up with foot cramps... Either that or I haven't been getting enough water.. I am bad with that! Some people were talking about these things called frollicks... They are cheese crisps!!! Loaded with protein!! No carbs!! It's basically baked cheese!! Great for a crunchy snack.. They don't have them here. I'm in ny but I went on their web site frollicks.com and emailed them telling them I really want them and when will they be available in NY or online and they sent me some! Hahaha they only have them in Colorado and surrounding areas. Boooo haha
  15. So awesome!! Such an inspiration!! Thank You for providing us with a place to talk to people who are on the same journey!! I wouldn't be doing as well if I didn't have this forum!! I have learned a lot here!! Congrats on your 11 year surgaversary!!! I hope I can do as well as you!! On my way!
  16. Oh ya I also love to make chicken salad with low fat mayo and hollow out a cucumber and fill it with the chicken salad!! Yummmm watermelon is a great snack too and cantaloupe!! I eat that when my potassium gets low. But you can plan ahead with the my fitness pal and try to stay within your goals... I can't wait to have my three month follow up so I can ask the doc if I have all of my numbers right!! It's worked so far! Oh and 40 lbs is AWESOME!!! That's my dog!! Woot Good for you!!
  17. You are going to stall we all do but even though you aren't losing weight don't lose faith cause you are losing inches!! I call it the condensing stage!! Haha the scale will move again!! Download my fitness pal!! I try keeping my calories around 800 and my protein between 60 and 90 an my carbs lower than 50!! Quest bars are great... So are pure protein bars for a quick meal... P3 by Oscar Mayer.. You find them in with the lunchables.. Are great for a grab and go meal. I like to get low sodium sandwich meat and put a slice if low fat Swiss cheese in between two slices if meat and roll it up and chow down. Maybe have some cottage cheese with it. If you are doing cardio... It's best to do it on an empty stomache!!! Then eat only protein after with a little good fats... I like to have salmon!! But egg whites work too... I have Greek yogurt on. Hand for snacks too!! Trying to think of what else I eat!! Haha I always eat protein first and then veggies and if room (rarely) carbs but stick to good carbs!!
  18. Really? I did not know that!! That is really good to know!! Thanks for letting me know cause I have been avoiding all kinds if foods because of high carbs. So you take fiber grams and subtract them from the carb grams and what is high for an "active" carb number?? : ) I am only 3 months post op and still learning all of this stuff. I haven't seen a nutritionalist since pre op!!
  19. Awesome! I am 4 pounds away from ONEderland! Stalled for a week!! Go figure! lol
  20. Quest bars have Carbs!! Not sure where you are getting no carbs? But the pure protein bars are great I think!! They have the best nutritional value bang for your calories! Much less carbs than quest bars. Or maybe I'm looking at the wrong quest bars? ; )
  21. That's what I use!! Haha My Fitness Pal! Love it!!
  22. Thanks!! It's funny how much thought I put now into what I am going to eat! Haha i hope all if my April Sleever Sisters and brothers are doing well!! The only thing I have had problems with is cramps in my feet occasionally... Usually the morning after I work out thinking I'm not getting enough water...
  23. I upped my calories from 600 to 800 and it started moving... Fast!!
