  1. Evry state bcbs is different. Call them
  2. I think that is not hunger but rather the acid talking. Have you discussed changing acid meds with your surgeon?
  3. I honestly did not go into the surgery planning to tell the world. Maybe it was the dilauded?? Who knows. I wrote that post at 1am on night of surgery after my third or so walk across to the nurses station.
  4. Here's what I have done in this circumstance as it did come up at the GI doc nj EGD prep : I think I didn't get a copy of your privacy policy would you mind asking the office manager to bring it to me right now before we go further in this discussions ? Perhaps she could join our discussion and you can rephrase that comment to me Needless to say she did not return and a different med tech did. Who said nothing.
  5. It was posted right after my quotation mark usage so just thought you were referring to me
  6. I guess I am just made of different kind of stuff. I don't care! I am done! You want to tell me your horror stories(people do). Go ahead You want me to give you my reasons - fine "it's the right decision for me" and more specificity you can kiss my ass I told everyone. I do not invite you to share or opine upon my decision. Support only. Thank you. The rest can kiss my smaller ass. When it gets around to getting smaller. Here is what I posted on Facebook : so we r clear I received 100+ positive posts. And no negative opinions. Many of you know and many do not. But today is my new birth date For the last several months I've been working on a new lifestyle and a new diet. Today was the culmination point. I had a gastric sleeve this morning. There were numerous reasons That factored into this life altering decision. I am not going into them but know it was not done lightly The sleeve is a weight loss surgery that provides you a new tool to lose weight. This is not a cure. It involves removing a portion of your stomach This decision wasn't taken likely but it was the decision I made and feeling it was the right decision for me I expect to go home tomorrow. My asthma and blood pressure are in check and so no reason to stay longer. Many people may not agree with this... But it's my decision and I am not asking for opinions just continued support as I enter this lifelong journey. Happy birthday to me. My family has been great, especially my husband David who I could not have done this without. I feel good. I was told what to expect and expected to be in agony today and it's not the case. The only pain I have is from the surprise hernia that was found and repaired. Thank you all for your kinds words and keeping me in your thoughts
  7. Hugs and thoughts headed your virtual way!
  8. I did. A whole whopping 10 calories! But I did it because I wanted to track the Protein and it was about 1 gram of protein.
  9. Isn't there a way to keep it viewable without allowing new venom to spew? That way people can still search on it? I agree I want people who are new to read and make their own decisions. It's just that no new posts have been in a debate forum so to speak.
  10. I am not a newbie I am not an Omar lover I am not a Susan basher/supporter And you can giggle all you like. You're proving my point
  11. Pick up weight loss for dummies. Tons of recipes with few ingredients and east to make. It classifies what stage you can have them at as well
  12. Since most of the people posting on this site are grown women .... I wonder if we were all in a room would you be "acting" in the same way. What I read in all these posts is the venom and hate coming across. True anger no matter what side. Once again I say - please shut this post down from further commentary. I think we have enough drama in here for folks to make a decision. All new posts have been just garbage and attacks. As grown women we should be pumping each other up not destroying each other.
  13. I don't understand. There are more doctors part of your insurance plan. I would find someone else
  14. Good luck. Hope you checked with insurance this time to double check
  15. And call your insurance and file a quality of care complaint too. Call customer service
  16. Omg I hope you walked out how inappropriate how damaging. One hell of a bedside manner. If I were upset as you sound is be on the AMA website and filing appropriate complaint and finding a new doc who can relate to my knee condition with the compassion required of a physician. What an ahole
  17. My doc recommended citrucel or miralax powder mixed into water to bulk it up
  18. Houston Texas has some for 5000-10000
  19. Can off gradually every time I soaped them up post day 7
  20. I got this when I started purée foods and they weren't "wet" enough and also when I ate too fast. Make sure they are really soft and moist and slow down that eating.
  21. I've read a couple posts where folks only had to do clear liquids night before and so forth
  22. I went out to dinner first time at 2 weeks post op It was a Chinese restaraunt and I had won ton soup - broth only. Entree was something with tofu and steamed and had a couple bites of that. Went out again last night at 3.5 weeks post op. I ordered steamed fish and had no issues at all eating a few ounces. You just have to be cognizant of where you are going. Stick to your eating plan. If they don't have what you can eat - call and ask if they can prepare something off menu if you ask. If not you can suggest everyone pick another location that has what you can eat. And honestly it is a lot easier when everyone at the table with us knew what surgery id had. I was so supported in my meal choices, my sticking to the program, and non judgements throughout the night. It felt great.
  23. Yummy tummy I think you're in UK. Not sure if you had the surgery through the national health but do they provide you counseling through their programs or support groups? I think that what you need is support from a nutritionist but also from other local sleevers. I am sorry you are having a rough time. I have lost 13 pounds as of today since surgery on June 24. I am ok with this perceived "slow" loss. I am hoping that it will keep me from losing my hair. A girl can hope. I have 80 more to go or so and I will get there eventually
  24. Not many people have had plocation since it's so new
