  1. Yay! It's almost here! lol I'm getting a little nervous, but I try not to think about it or I'll worry myself for no reason. My preop diet is going pretty good (once I got past day 4!) I haven't "cheated" any! My husband has been a great help this week! Hope everyone else is doing good!
  2. That's great!! Keep it up!
  3. Bless your heart. I know exactly how you feel! I won't even go to amusement parks or fairs because of the fear of being turned away. But cheer up, next year there will be no doubt that you'll be on all the rides too!
  4. My surgery is May 20th too. I started my preop diet May 6th which consist of 4 mandatory meal replacements a day (bought from doctors office) and all the non starchy green veggies I want, and 1 4oz piece of lean meat a day. No milk, cheese, pasta, rice, crackers, bread... So it's basically a high protein, no sugar diet. I have lost 7.4lbs so far! Whoohoo! I'm beginning to get a little nervous. But I know this is what I need! I'm 5'2 and my highest weight was 254.4 and I'm now at 247 lbs.
  5. How are all you May 6th peeps doing? I hope well!!
  6. That's wonderful!! Awesome job! What were both of your starting weights & heights? I just started my preop diet today, surgery in 2 weeks and would love to know what you've been doing?
  7. I started my pre-op diet today. I'm using the New Direction replacement meals and I'm having problems getting the powder to dissolve. Anyone else have this problem? What did you do? I don't think I can stomach clumpy soup again. lol Thanks in advance! Jenny

  9. I start my pre-op diet tomorrow! Wish me luck, lol. I've got all my food organized for the next 2 weeks and my lunch packed for tomorrow. I'm ready! (I hope, ha)
  10. I'm having mine done on the 20th also! (So keep in touch.) Are there any local support groups that your doctor can recommend? We will all support you on here! Best of luck!

My sister was able to watch the whole thing on the screen with the doctor. He went thru my nostril and it is still a little sensitive today. Glad to have it over with!
