  1. If I can figure out how, I will! Lol Good night
  2. Walmart. I only bought a pack of 4. Definitely gonna go back for more
  3. These Carmel Atkins drinks have milk but just have to not overdo it. So far one of the best flavored I've found and it isn't as thick as others.
  4. I bought some Atkins drinks that are good if you like coffee drinks.
  5. Thanks! I'll have to try it. I'll keep you posted on the almond milk too.
  6. Good luck!!! I'm scheduled for band on nov 13
  7. Day 2 on liquid diet and I'm starving!!! Any suggestions for filling recipes? I have a hard time with protein drinks that are milk based as the upset my stomach (lactose intolerance). I purchased almond milk to try but haven't tried it yet.
  8. Finally got a surgery date....... November 13, 2014!! It's been a long, exhausting journey but I am SO READY! Just a lil nervous. ????
  9. My insurance company is being very difficult. The have a 'preferred' group of weight loss physicians that encourage the gastric sleeve. This is something I'm not really interested in so I went to a different doctor (who still has privileges at my hospital and does lap band every day). The insurance has denied my coverage because it isn't their preferred group. Now time for the appeal process......
  10. You just have to remember that you are doing this for YOU!! I struggled with the decision for a long time, wondering why I couldn't lose the weight on my own like 'normal' ppl. I have finally accepted that I need help to be the best version of ME that I can. My application was submitted today for insurance approval. Just awaiting a surgery date. Good luck in your journey!!!
  11. I had my final required appointment with my weight loss surgeon today. My case will now be submitted for insurance approval. It is now just a waiting game. I'm not good at waiting, lol.
  12. I have my final appt on Tuesday August 26, then just waiting on insurance approval. Hopefully it will go through quickly!!
  13. Thank you for the encouragement!! I am very excited to do this, just a little nervous that I'll fail at yet another weight loss journey. I'm sure that's a normal feeling, just have to remember why I'm doing it!!
  14. Maybe try the mirena IUD
  15. Am scheduled for my last visit with my surgeon on Tuesday August 26th. I then only have to wait for insurance approval and schedule a date. I'm 5'3", and weighed 240 at my first visit. I have lost a few, gained a few throughout the 6 month process, so overall I'm only a few pounds from my starting weight. I'm very disappointed in myself for not being able to lose more before. I was talking with a good friend of mine about it, and she said "if you could do it alone, you would. You wouldn't need the surgery." She has a point I guess. I have to stop beating myself up about it. I think in my mind I'm afraid of the things I won't be able to eat after, so I've kind of eaten whatever I want. Not the best plan probably. I am very excited to start a new chapter in my life. I'm 35 years old, single, never married, no kids. I'm an RN, and want to be a healthy role model to my pts. I have 2 nieces and a nephew that I want to be good role models for. I don't want to be that 'fat' aunt that can't play basketball, baseball, soccer, etc with them. I will keep you posted. This is kind of difficult for me. My family and close friends know of my decision to have lap band surgery, but I haven't talked about it outside that circle. Typing it out to a group of strangers is very intimidating, but necessary for me!
