  1. Thanks for sharing this encouraging post!
  2. Thanks for the information on Dr. Lopez; I'm scheduled with him on August 4th in Puerto Vallerta. When you refer to "coordinators", are you referring to the person that we have first contact with in regards to completing the paperwork and scheduling? My interaction has been limited this far and has involved the forms and approval emails. Should I be asking more questions??
  3. Thanks for sharing an encouraging post! I get sleeved on 4 August and I'm spending my time researching and preparing myself mentally; posts line yours are really helpful.
  4. Thanks for sharing! Congratulations on embracing your "new" self and stepping outside your comfort zone. I'm scheduled for surgery on August 4 and eagerly anticipating embracing my new normal.

  6. I'm scheduled for August 4th with Dr. Alejandro Lopez and looking for anyone else going during the same time frame.
  7. I'm scheduled for August 4th; since I opted for self-pay, I don't have any prerequisites to complete, but am working on my own preparation journey. I purchased “The Big Book of Gastric Sleeve” and read it, it has LOTS of information. As soon as the weather warms up, I’ll start a walking program. Other than that, just focusing on portion control and wrapping my mind around the changes to my body and eating habits; working hard to stay positive and focused on the good outcome from this procedure.
  8. @Bufflehead~~thanks! I'll keep that in mind. Do you have any thoughts on why taste preferences can change after surgery?
  9. Thanks for the information; I just ordered the sample pack. I have surgery August 4 and being the anal retentive perfectionist control freak that I am (), I'm trying to find out what I like well beforehand.
  10. I'm scheduled for August 4 with Dr. Lopez in Puerto Vallerta. I've been reading "The Big Book on the Gastric Sleeve" and just working on preparing mentally and emotionally. I am fortunate that a good friend is traveling with my to be my encourager and supporter.
  11. I'm scheduled for August 4 in Puerto Vallarta with Dr. Lopez. I'm taking this time to read The Big Book on the Gastric Sleeve to prepare mentally.
