  1. Hi, I'm Kim and would really like to get together with others on this journey with me. Hope some of you will too! I am only 8 weeks post op but would love to assist someone in Anson County, NC. We don't have any WLS support in this county. Although I am a former teacher, I don't feel that I have enough experience to head this up but would really love to see it happen!

    So much gas

So sorry! Our tummies are quite sensitive! And noisy! I know its uncomfortable but if you are concerned about it being something else, give your dr a call. I called quite a lot in my first few weeks. Feel better soon!

I remember being overwhelmed with the whole process too. Did your dr/nutritionist give you any info on what to do and when? You should probably be on liquids still. There is a lot of info here and don't be discouraged! Kim

My nut suggested using my fitness pal and I like the tracking site, but I am unsure of a few things. 1. If my total daily calories is 400, what should the sugar and carbs be? I know the protein is 60, but have never been given a daily amount for the other. I know each food should have 10g or less carbs and 3g or less sugar. Should I multiply that by 3 meals and 2 or 3 snacks?
  12. I am 4 weeks post op and I've only lost 13 lbs, not counting the 10 lbs I gained from fluid after surgery. But for the past week/to 2 weeks...nothing! Its driving me crazy! Suggestions please!

    breaking the stall

I know! I thought it would come off quicker! I guess it will...patience....ugh!
  14. I posted a few days ago about localized pain above the major incision. Called dr office and they said it was the really big internal stitch that is used. Unfortunately, I now have some dizziness after I hurt that site, heartburn and a little frothy vomiting. Ok, is this just my hyperchondria in overdrive? I have a dr visit next Wednesday.

3 weeks out, still in pain

    Thanks everyone for your comments!
  16. Hi, I am 3.5 weeks out and I'm having a really bad time. I am depressed even though the weights coming off, I don't have much pain, so I don't know why I'm so blue. I get nauseated cause I want to over eat, my kids bring in taco bell and pizza and I have to bake stinky fish. There are no support groups nearby and I'm just in a whiny mood. I don't want people telling me "your looking so good" or "your gonna be so pretty"...I just want to crawl in a hole so I don't punch someone lol!. Sorry to vent, you guys are all I have right now.
  17. I am 4 weeks post op and I am still having sharp, burning pain just above the major incision where they remove the stomach. I realize that there are internal stitches but wow! This hurts worse than right after the surgery! Did my dr use barbed wire to sew me up? Lol! How long should this last? Did any of you have this as well?

Will You Please be my Buddy?

I will be your buddy! I just had my sleeve done feb 18 and aI am in need of a Christian buddy too! I am married, with two grown children and 2 grand boys. I don't know how folks can go through surgeries like this and not have the confidence of Jesus as their Savior! My saying for this process is "I know Jesus lives within me, but I'm giving Him a nicer, more snuggier place to live! God bless you!
