  4. The Anson County Chapter of Bariatric Pal will be held in the newly opened CMC Anson hospital in the conference room. Time TBD. I will be in touch! Kim
  5. I'm using an android tablet. The app sometimes freezes and I have to go online to post or view topics. Also, on both the app and website we need a quick weight update button instead of having to search through the surgery info. Overall, I like the cleaness of the app - not a lot of visual clutter - and hope the issues can be resolved.

  7. Hi, I'm Kim Gainey and I would love to start a Bariatric Pal support group for Anson and surrounding counties. I would like to share your weight loss adventure with you!

  9. So sorry! Our tummies are quite sensitive! And noisy! I know its uncomfortable but if you are concerned about it being something else, give your dr a call. I called quite a lot in my first few weeks. Feel better soon!
  10. Don't stop believin'! That was Journey right?

  12. I remember being overwhelmed with the whole process too. Did your dr/nutritionist give you any info on what to do and when? You should probably be on liquids still. There is a lot of info here and don't be discouraged! Kim

  16. Hi, I'm Kim and would really like to get together with others on this journey with me. Hope some of you will too! I am only 8 weeks post op but would love to assist someone in Anson County, NC. We don't have any WLS support in this county. Although I am a former teacher, I don't feel that I have enough experience to head this up but would really love to see it happen!
  17. Thanks for the info, please add me to mfp as well! KimGainey
  18. My nut suggested using my fitness pal and I like the tracking site, but I am unsure of a few things. 1. If my total daily calories is 400, what should the sugar and carbs be? I know the protein is 60, but have never been given a daily amount for the other. I know each food should have 10g or less carbs and 3g or less sugar. Should I multiply that by 3 meals and 2 or 3 snacks?
  19. I know! I thought it would come off quicker! I guess it will...patience....ugh!
  20. I am 4 weeks post op and I've only lost 13 lbs, not counting the 10 lbs I gained from fluid after surgery. But for the past week/to 2 weeks...nothing! Its driving me crazy! Suggestions please!
  21. Thanks everyone for your comments!
