1. Me too! I'm still waiting for the insurance approval. The doctor approved me and I've followed all the guidelines so I should have no problems but I just need to hear from the insurance company that I am approved. They said it takes 2 wks and I've already gotten through the first week of waiting soooooooo sometime this week I should get the call I hope! You are going to be fine. Just keep your thoughts positive and remember the reasons you pursued this journey! We will be 1 year post op and putting our success stories on here and YouTube and much healthier! You've got this!
2. 21 days until my tentative surgery date. I should hear from the insurance company this next week and the next available date for surgery is on the 1st of August. I don't imagine they'll be booked for that date . At least I hope not. Every appointment at the doctor's office I've either been the only one or one of 3 in the waiting room. I'm going to go simply crazy if I have to wait any longer. Or if the insurance company doesn't approve me. This waiting is worse than anything I've had to do over these last 6 months to get approved. I am going to call the insurance company Friday if they don't call by then. I will be rather busy these next few days at least. That will help pass the time. I'm just ready to do this already! I want to get the surgery and pain out of the way and move ahead with my new life.
3. I'm in Henderson Nevada I'm waiting for the insurance approval right now I've waited 6 months and now it's at the end. So hard to wait. Who's your doctor? I'm with dr Sergey lyass and will be going in for surgery at the oband surgery center on Flamingo hopefully on the 1st of August
4. That's good to know why. I've heard this too and I just thought it was a feeling full thing and therefore not getting all of the required protein in if you drink and eat together
5. Aww lucky girl don't be scared. I'm excited for you! I feel like I've been waiting forever
6. How long did you wait before you called
7. Lol i have thoughts like this as well then it passes when I reflect back on all my failed attempts and see all the before and after success stories on here! Congrats on your date! I should be on the 1st of August but it had not been officially confirmed as of yet
8. This is not my last meal but my daughter has made me take her and my son to golden coral buffet. Never Been. Not much for buffets. We live in Vegas so no big deal. Lol

10. I think I'm clear liquids for 3 days to a week then move on to full liquids for a week or two then pureed etc
11. I'm trying to prepare for my first two weeks at home post op. Any suggestions past popsicles and broth and protein drinks?
12. It's frustrating to say the least. I'm to anxious trying to think about something else.
13. Who's your favorite success story that you've watched on YouTube? Mine is sleeved franklin. She's awesome!
14. Hi Kelly, I'm Jan. I was required to do a 6 month diet and weigh- ins once a month. I'm a low bmi, so i was told to not lose weight. I've done initial consult and seminar and decided on the sleeve. I had to do psychiatrist and psychologist evaluations, upper gi, ultrasound, two blood tests, stress test, a chest xray, sleep study, nutritionist, found gallstones so I had to have the gallbladder removed. I remember when I went for my sleep study months ago, I was scheduled at 8pm and was worried about falling asleep so i took some pills to help with it in the parking lot while I waited for the technician to show up. No one showed up and I tried calling and waited for an hour and a half thinking maybe they messed up the time. The place is in Vegas in a not so nice area and there I was alone in the dark in my truck on sleeping pills lol. This last Thursday was my last weigh in and now 6 months later I am just waiting for the insurance to approve. The doctor said that it will be done in 2 weeks and the next available surgery date is August 1st. Long process and a lot of appointments! The end is near on this part of the process. I have a friend who had the sleeve with her husband in February and she is down nearly 60lbs now and her husband is over 100 lbs down. I'm excited for this and finding it difficult to wait all this time but it's almost over now. I'm getting a bit nervous I must admit, are you? I am 211lbs and hope to get to about 125lbs for goal. So 86lbs total! I would like to lose 6lbs between now and surgery date and that puts me at exactly 40bmi. Tell me more about you and where you're at in this journey. What do you have left to do?
15. I'm soooooooo excited and nervous and ready! I've decided to put together some BEFORE pics, painful as it is, and log every step of this journey. I want to look back a year from now and see my progress . I want to remember where I started from and never go back! August 1st hurry up!
16. Hurry up insurance companies!
17. 4th of July holiday and switch in surgery schedules to every other Friday has put me into August now. August 1st is looking like my new date for sleeve surgery!
18. Wow. Yeah I see it. You are incredible! Fabulous!
19. Thank you. I've decided for sure to go through with this. My final required monthly weigh in of 6 months is on next Tuesday then 2 wks til surgery. I'm very excited as offer stats are similar and yours gives me hope. I know we all lose differently and at different paces but I'm excited anyways. Did you keep a journal of exercise and food? Do you have before and after photos? Would you want to share your experience with me?
20. Do they continue to send scar cream and vitamins automatically with the Protein drinks and charge you for the vitamins and scar cream? I've read on here that the insurance covers the drinks but the vitamins and scar cream is expensive and not covered by the insurance. Can you cancel the cream and vitamins? And still receive the Protein Drinks?
