3 down 3 to go!
Well I am at the half way mark now for the 6 month diet required by the insurance company. I have nutritionist left to do and chest xray and blood work. Cannot wait to get through these newt 3 months. I've gone to so many appointments and jumped through all the hoops including having my gallbladder removed. July cannot come soon enough!

holiday photos
My mother in law posted pictures she took of me with my husband and my son on Facebook. I so cannot wait to get sleeved and not hate my pictures. I really wish she wouldn't post them on Facebook. I had no makeup on and just had my gallbladder removed last Friday so really not at my best. I wouldn't post pictures of anyone without their consent. She's sweet and I don't want to hurt her feelings so I won't say anything but how embarrassing. I guess when I see her next and I am down a lot of weight that will be my redemption. I know this sounds vain but I can't help it. I am 5ft4" and 206lbs (I lost 8lbs after surgery) I just want to feel and look good.

pain
OK so I am getting sleeved in July. Last Friday I had gallbladder removed. The pain in my stomach was excruciating when I sat up or when I would lay down. Anything that required me to use my stomach muscles. I felt a little pain in right shoulder but not bad. How does this compare to sleeve surgery pain? The doctor said it's similar.

When is it safe to start "heavy-lifting"?
What about carrying your books in something on wheels?

How do I know if I can do this?
I too am in July. I am going through the same thoughts as the time grows closer. Especially since I just had surgery for my gallbladder. But I feel better as this week passes (I just had surgery last Friday) met with the Dr today and he said that it is very similar to the sleeve surgery. So I feel as though I am getting a trial run sort of. I am surviving and know what to expect to a degree. On some things anyways. Knowing that it will be OK and I am strong enough has eased most of my anxiety. You can do this too!

30 Hours before Surgery!
Just had gallbladder removed. They did a single incision through belly button. It hurt so bad to sit up or lay down. I'm a week out now and it finally is tolerable. Any similarities to the soreness of a sleeve surgery?

surgical dressing
OK so a week ago I got my gallbladder out. In an hour I am seeing the Dr. For my first follow up. I was told to leave the dressing on and if I wanted to shower to wrap it up in saran wrap and tape it off so it doesn't get wet. Isn't a week a long time for one bandage? Hoping it's not infected or that is healing properly. Here's crossing my fingers. Guess they know best. I'll know in an hour or so.

The Vicodin haze has faded, I survived surgery
Thank you. Wish I would've known about the recliner. I sit in a rocking chair with pillows. Getting a different prescription to ease the pain.

The Vicodin haze has faded, I survived surgery
I just had gallbladder surgery Friday. They injected a dye into my iv wheeled me back to the operating room then transferred me to the operating table. The anastegiologist gave me something and instant panic set in. I felt like something was terribly wrong and I was going to die. I remember feeling it from the waist down first like a sudden wave of fire or lava running through my body. Then my left arm and my right. While I was still awake I remember him telling me is OK it'll pass soon. Then I accepted it as being normal. Horrible but normal. The next thing I knew I was awake and out of it. I've been in pain since then any time I move or try to get up or lay down. My tummy is so swollen. I've kept ice on it but it's still bloated. Before surgery I had lost 5lbs. Afterwards I was up 5lbs. 2lbs down today. I just wish the swelling would go away and the pain would not be so severe. I miss sleeping on my side. I am so afraid to proceed with the sleeve surgery. I want this so bad but I am terrified of the whole process now. You guys are so brave!

Anyone having the sleeve in april?!
Is the pain factor in the sleeve surgery similar in any way to the gallbladder surgery pain. Does anyone know

pain
OK so Friday I had my gallbladder removed. I can't lay down because getting up hurts so bad. I've walked like suggested. When does the swelling and pain go away. I'm supposed to get sleeved in July and I am petrified of it now. Someone talk to me. Please tell me your experience so I can have an idea as to when this pain stops.

March 2014 Sleevers
I know what you mean about texture. I love crispy! I haven't had surgery yet but I bet I will miss this like you! It's almost like we all start life over again. I feel like it's going to be like formula (liquids) then Gerber stages (soft foods) lol

gallbladder surgery tomorrow
OK so I guess this will be good for so many reasons to get this gallbladder removed. I'll be able to say I've had surgery before. It will help supposedly with the sleeve surgery in July. No more feeling sick from these stones! I'm still scared. But I will get up get ready and go to the hospital and just do this!

Stop the Whining Over A Few Miserable Days!
Maybe not regretting maybe more reality sets in and it's time to see what we're made of. Instead of saying wow I wish I never did this, I'm going to try to remember this post and say OK this is it and now deal with it and move forward. I hope I'm this strong!
