  1. I had my surgery on 1/29, too. I've started on small things like cottage cheese, tuna, puréed cauliflower. I'm not sure I'm ready for meatballs and/or meatloaf! There's an adjustment as you transition to new foods so just take it easy. Savor your bites. My husband laughs at me because every new food (like real food, not protein shake) I say "this is the best thing I've EVER eaten". Lol! After being on a liquid diet, it's all delicious to me now!!!
  2. I'm 12 days post-op, no stitches, nothing. I never even thought to ask my surgeon but if like to take a bath. Any reason I can't?
  3. Try pure whey liquid protein shots. Only 3oz and 45g of protein. VERY tart but quick and easy way to get in protein!
  4. Yes, i did too. Remember that you also still have some effects from anesthesia too!
  5. Hi Stephanie-I'm Stephanie and I was sleeved on 1/28, as well. Lol! I feel the same exact way you describe. Not that it helps, I guess, but makes me think this is normal! Congrats and best if luck!!
  6. I've been told that milk and decaf tea are fine.
  7. I'm so confused over this. Mu surgeon also warned me about constipation. I'm only one week out but I've had diarrhea for the whole week. Should I be concerned???
  8. Yikes-5 weeks? I'll stop complaining now!
  9. You're exactly right!!!
  10. I've been reading everyone's posts for days now and am finally diving in. You all have given so much support and inspiration to me already (obviously from afar) so I wanted to say thank you! I was sleeved on 1/29. I was home on 1/30 getting back to my routines. Other than the pain on this left side incision, I feel fine and have decided to go back to work Monday, as a result. The only pain meds I've taken have been regular strength Tylenol and I only take that at bed time to help with laying down and that darn left side incision! I'm SICK of Protein shakes and really don't know how I'm going to make it until 12/12 on this diet other than for the fact that I'm not even craving anything else! Anyway, I look forward to sharing this journey with all if you.
