Awesome job!!! I'm four weeks and 1 day down a total of 31.6 (that's w the 1 week liquid diet for one week before surgery) We are on our way!!!!!!

I am one month and one day out from surgery. I have lost a total of 31.6 pounds. 10lbs from the one week liquid diet before surgery and 21.6 since surgery

I'm able to drink like that too! I was worried at first for having no restriction BUT I'm on soft foods and I can really feel a restriction. So don't worry. My dr never said anything about straws or caffeine. I have coffee everyday. Every dr is different. We are all individuals we will all have different journeys. Happy sleeping!!!

Hi all! I'm in my third week and on soft foods. Doing really well. I'm great with liquids, no problem at all. I'm learning (the hard way) my signal of when I'm full. I was distracted last night and took a few bites too many! BOY, I won't do that again!!! I HATE to throw up!! I actually spent 30 mins with the heart pounding and sliming talking my self out of throwing up. Lots of deep breaths! I've lost 25 lbs so far. I REFUSE to weigh everyday once a week is fine with me. My NSV is my wedding ring fitting!!! I haven't been able to wear it for years! It's still a little tight so I'm going to wait a bit before I begin to wear it all the time. I'm walking everyday. No pain just uncomfortable at the incision site where my stomach came out.

Hey guys! I have had the Mirena in for 2 years. It has been wonderful for me (knock on wood). I do not have periods anymore maybe just a little spotting during my time of month. My question is this..... I had surgery on Wed 2-26. On Sunday my period started. It's not enough to use anything other than a liner, very light but it is more than I have had in past years. Is my body just reacting to surgery? Do I need to worry? I have my one week follow up with my Dr tomorrow and will ask him but wanted to see if anyone has had a similar experience. Thanks in advance

Hi Hi Hi!!!! I was sleeved on Wed 2-26. My hospital stay was one night and super easy. I have had no problems with liquids or keeping them down. I am not hungry. I am on Clear Liquids for now then advance to full liquid, smushies ect... I'm not stepping on the scale till my one week dr follow up this thurs. My body has been through trauma and lots of IVs and drugs have been pumped through me. I don't want to discourage myself. I'm having a little bit of pain and bloating in my tummy area but it is being managed by my pain meds. I return to work to tomorrow. Just wanted to check in and wish new sleevies good wishes on your journey!!!!! Sip, walk and peace ????

UHC didn't cover my sleeve. WLS is excluded from their plans.

I can only have clear liquids. Broth, jello, water. Week 2 I can move up to full liquids (milk,pudding,protein shake ect).

Lots of trapped gas!!! Bloated!!! But all in all ok. I walked a block. I'm hoping tomorrow the gas will pass.
