202 pounds BMI was 38 .. I'm only 5ft though. 190 day so surgery

That's how I was and I felt so weak and sick. That's when the doctor told me to take the miralax. That helped me out a lot. I have been able to drink all day and finish a bowl of cream of wheat. It took me all day but I did. And i didn't get full off of liquids today and felt so much better. The pressure is also gone too :-)

Lol I'm sure I will stick to the full liquids though. That was my stomach talking,

Good for you! That is awesome. I'm going to ask the doctor Tuesday if I can start puréed food a little early lol I'm not sure if I can wait until Friday.

After having such a bad week I was finally up to getting out the house today. I am so glad I did because I walked almost all this gas out and I feel normal today. I have an appetite every couple of hours too! All the pressure and bloating is gone now too! Thanks miralax for making me feel normal again lol

I just started full liquids yesterday and I can't eat more than 3 teaspoons of yogurt. How much are you able to get down? After I eat I'm full but my tummy is growling still.

That is good to hear! Your diet sounds a lot like me. I didn't have gas pains but I did have all the pressure and bloating from it. Do you get full off of liquids?

Glad you are feel better! I just started full liquids today but I still have tons of pressure and bloating so I'm getting full off 3 teaspoons of yogurt. I've been walking and walking but it's not budging. My dr. Told me to get some miralax to help me get some relief. I can't wait to feel better!

I'm 6 days post op and have been on a clear liquid diet until tomorrow. I been hungry for the last 4 days.,the hunger pains are worse than the gas pains at this point. The only thing that helps with my hunger pains in the liquid hydro condone with Tylenol the surgeon gave me.

I'm so jealous lol. I was banded on February 14th and today is my last day of clear liquids. The only good thing out of this is that I lost 12 pounds in 6 days.

How are you feeling now? How long are you on clear liquids?

Glad to hear surgery went well. I had to stay overnight at the hospital and when they brought me each meal I had tea, cranberry juice, apple juice, Popsicles, and always had 2 things of jello on my tray. The nurses made sure I was tasting everything and made sure I was drinking all the time. We don't want you passing out so drink drink drink lol

That sounds so good right now. I start full liquids on Friday and I can't wait to have a small bowl of cream of wheat for breakfast and a Greek yogurt for lunch. Maybe do a tomato soup for dinner.

Congrats and best of luck to you! I am on day 5 post op and it's been hard for me. Today is just a little bit better and I'm starting to regain some strength. I do love the fact that it doesn't feel like I did 1000 crunches anymore when I sit up. Oh and my port is in my chest. It has not given me any problems though. It just swells up during the day.

Good luck on your surgery! You will do just fine. Keep us posted when you are rested and up to it.

I need to get out and check GNC or buy some my doctors office. My band has it's own mind today. I'm so full but my tummy is still giving me hunger pains. I've only got down about 16 ounces of fluids today.

They told me I can have all the clear liquids I could handle since I'm wide open. I still can't find isopure anywhere for the clear liquid protein.

I had a hiatal repair too. Do you know if your doctor put fluid in your band during surgery?

Yes I am. Drinking doesn't bother me at all. I'm drinking something every few minutes. Well it seems like it. I have a 7.5cc band with no fluid right now. My doctor said I'm wide open.

I went to my first seminar on January 8th 2014.. I got banded on February 14.

I can't wait. Only 4 more days lol

That is my diet now for 1 week except for protein shakes. I can have the shakes during the second week of post op. I'm starving right now.
