  1. My doctor never gave me anything. Maybe I should request my medical records and see what It says in there. Thanks everyone! I didn't think there was a 7.5cc band. Not sure why he told me that.
  2. CORRECTION: BAND SIZES! HI everyone! I am newly banded and 3 weeks post-op. I am curious to know everyone's band size. I asked my doctor what size band I have and he said I have one the smaller bands at 7.5. I looked online and I haven't seen anything about this size of band available. I always see the 10 or 14cc bands for Allergan.

  5. Oh ok then... My hunger started going away when I started mushies. Hopefully you don't have a hard time on them. I felt like a normal person again and weight started to drop then too. My port doesn't hurt but it still swells up off and on throughout the day.
  6. Have you starred mushies yet? Oh and is your port area swollen still?
  7. I can't tell just yet if I need one. Im actually satisfied now but that can change in the next 2 weeks.
  8. Awesome! I can see the weight you have lost so far. Good job! Does your port still swell or get hard like a gold ball? My first fill is on the 18th and I'm kind of nervous.
  9. so far so good! I don't have any complaints yet about the port being in my chest. My bra doesn't even touch it or bother It.
  10. My doctor allows us to have regular coffee. It was listed under the approved drinks to have in my post op fluids list. I try not to drink it much though since it decreases my appetite.
  11. I'm glad to hear we are all doing well! Tomorrow will be my first day back at the gym! I'm excited to start melting away :-)
  12. I had a small hernia repair with my surgery so my doctor told us to wait 4 weeks for sex. He did say I don't care how you get off but don't mess up my hernia repair lol
  13. Hi all. I only lost 6 pounds total for the 2 weeks on liquids. I started my mushies 2 days ago and I have lost an extra pound. I haven't exercised yet. I'm just now feeling normal again. I start working out Monday morning. My port area still swells throughout the day and that time of the month will be this week so I can't wait to see if it will be different. My first fill will be March 18. I can only eat 1/2 cup in one sitting and I usually stay full for 3 to 4 hours after that. I feel so mucho better and not as weak or tired now that I can eat.
  14. Are you eating enough protein at each meal?
  15. My port is placed in my chest as well but I have no discomfort. I was just banded on the 14th. My port incision doesn't even touch my bra and my strap is right beside my port. My doctor placed it very well.
  16. That is good to hear from both of y'all! Y'all are very welcome :-)
  17. Best wishes to you and good luck!
  18. I was the same way. Lol 190 and 5 ft tall. I have pcos and 5 herniated discs. My insurance approved the request 2 days after receiving it.
  19. I have the same thing. It's called thrush and it comes from all the antibiotics they pumped us with. I've been trying to scrape it off every morning. I will tell my doctor about it on Tuesday.
  20. Definitely get the miralax. It will help. My incisions were glued but waterproof so I was able to shower the next day. Maybe you should call your doctor first thing in the morning. Do you have any sugar free Popsicles? That can help get some fluid in.
  21. And don't forget to walk. That is a must.
  22. It will with bloating and constipation. My doctor told me take it as soon as I left the hospital and I didn't listen. I was miserable with bloating and pressure. I was getting full off of liquids and when I took the miralax I started feeling some relief. The next day was even better.
  23. Have you started miralax yet? This helped me a lot. It will help relieve some of that pressure you have too. And don't forget to walk, walk, and walk some more . You have to get that gas out of you.
  24. Good! I hope it works for you too.
  25. I been having hiccups in my chest. At least that's what it feels like. I'm 8 days postop
